I'd be better with that, though Brooks doesn't fit the system at all. _________________

That's part of the reason why I love Irvin. Ingram and Irvin are truly the only guys I see with Suggs/Ware/Woodley potential at SLB. That's pretty sad.
Kuechly and maybe Hightower are the only two true ILB's I really like, and I think Wagner could make the switch. Usually there late round safeties and LB's I really like, there aren't any really this year. |
i like Audie Cole, Josh Kaddu, Sammy Brown and Tank Carder alot in the back end of the draft...but your right, it's pretty weak this year | Kaddu is the only one of those guys with elite potential, and even that I'd question though. |
that's the husky in you
Seriously tho, sammy brown and kaddu could easily produce 5+ a year for their whole careers IMO, if they play up to their potential. Audie Cole can be a Colin McCarthy type late for us as well
Tank Carder is just a personal favorite of mine, like the way he plays. I think he'll produce past his draft status | 5+ a year is nothing. Julian Peterson would have, and did, put up 8+ a year. That's what is ideal in our defense. And I drafted Kaddu in FFMD2, so don't talk to me about that husky crap |
5+ a year is great for a kaddu or brown comind in the 4th round or later.....are you kidding. At minimum through out their careers they'd have 5. 10 years of producing 50-80 sacks is very good for that late in the draft and a situational rusher. Kaddu is a spark guy, he isn't your every down guy. He'd probably spend his entire career in the role aldon smith played last year as rusher in certain circumstances | My point is, I don't want a guy at SLB who produces well for a 4th rounder. I want a guy at SLB who produces well period. |
your not understanding, these are guys i would take on top of ingram, perry or kuechly. Even if we get a pass rusher early i want to get second one later on, that's what i'm getting at. Come on tat's, i been preaching pass rusher as an early round need...you know me better than that
The draft i really want is
Ingram
Wagner
James
Kaddu
in the first 4 rounds _________________

2012 Draft
*Trade 12 & 4th for 27th Overall, 48th Overall and 62nd Overall
*Trade 43 Overall for 57th Overall and 89th Overall
1. Jerel Worthy, DT, Michigan St.
2a. Vinny Curry, DE, Marshall
2b. Lavonte David, OLB, Nebraska
2c. Lamar Miller, RB, Miami
3a. Brandon Brooks, OG, Miami Ohio or Brandon Washington, OG, Miami
3b. Nigel Bradham, OLB, Florida St. | It certainly not bad at all. I'd probably go...

2(4 . Amini Silatolu, OG, Midwestern State
2(57). Bobby Wagner, LB, Utah State
2(62). Lamar Miller, RB, Miami

Change Amini with McClellin and Wagner with Brandon Washington and it might be my perfect draft. _________________

As I think about it, I really feel like I want one premier defender in this draft. Comes down to Ingram or Kuechly for me. So here's my two ideal scenarios. ...right now
Trades:
SEA sends 2.43 to MIA for 3.73, 3.74, 5.138
1.12) Luke Kuechly, MLB, Boston College
3.73) Dwayne Allen, TE, Clemson (Orson Charles, TE if Allen is gone)
3.74) Bruce Irvin, SLB/LEO, West Virginia
3.76) Lamichael James, RB, Oregon
4.107) Greg Childs, WR, Arkansas
5.138) Senio Kelemete, OG, Washington
6.171) Louis Nzegwu, LEO, Wisconsin
7.209) Marcus Dowtin, MLB, University of Northern Alabama
OR
Trades:
SEA sends 2.43 to DEN for 2.57, 3.89
1.12) Melvin Ingram, SLB, South Carolina
2.57) Lavonte David, WLB, Nebraska (or (2)Kendricks or (1)Wagner, pending on who is there)
3.75) Zebrie Sanders, LT/OG, Florida State
3.89) Greg Childs, WR, Arkansas
4.107) Jake Bequette, LEO, Arkansas
6.171) Cyrus Gray, RB, Texas A&M
7.209) Marcus Dowtin, MLB, University of Northern Alabama
I would love the 2nd draft. Love it. _________________

I would call Nick Perry a premiere defender. _________________

More specifically Kuechly. _________________

True, but I think Perry's long term impact for this team would be far greater due to the value of the LEO position for our defense. _________________

1.27) Nick Perry, LEO, USC
2.4 Amini Silatolu, OG, Midwestern State
2.57) Bobby Wagner, LB, Utah State
2.62) Lamar Miller, RB, Miami

I think I'm back at having Kuechly as my number 1 player. If he's not there, then trade back. _________________

That's a guranteed playoff appearance, point-blank period | The first one? Yeah, it's a nice combo of immediate impact and guys who can develop. Kuechly, Allen, and James will come in and immediately start at MLB, TE2, and as a slasher at RB and returner.
Irvin will provide pass rush and a potential SLB for the future.
Greg Childs, Senio Kelemete, Louis Nzegwu, and Marcus Dowtin are all developmental. Childs, Nzegwu, and Dowtin all have incredible potential. Though I'd only bank on Childs living up to it. _________________

I'm not a huge fan of taking Kuechly at 12 anymore. Feel like there's more impact guys that can be had.
He's a distant 3rd at best for me. _________________

For me, if we stayed at #12, the only impact players I see (that we realistically have a shot at are), Kuechly and Floyd. |

Really? I've heard you say numerous times that Hightower did not fit our defense. What changed your mind? Personally, I have some reservations about how well he would fit, but I love the guy as a player and would be thrilled if we drafted him. I have him #10 overall, on my big board. |
