I've really been trying to think of a good comparison, and that's the best that I could come up with. I toyed around with comparing him to Vanden Bosch, but he has a little more pass-rushing ability, and as of right now is less stout against the run. _________________

Really I thought he was a little more Chris Long mixed with Jason Babin and a tad of Connor Barwin and maybe a hint of Ryan Kerrigan. _________________

Yup.
He doesn't have elite athleticism but he makes up for it with a non-stop motor.

But why, he is messing up a good thing... |
is he? that remains to be seen. At his height and length, if he can maintain his strength and noticeably increase his quickness and speed, he might blow up the combine and go top 5-10. 4-3 teams will say "put on 10 or 15 lbs, we like you there better" and they won't have to worry, and 3-4 teams will see him as quicker and faster and figure he can drop into coverage _________________

Hes not aiming to be marketable anything, FSU asked him to drop weight to gain speed for their D. A FSU fan told me that he was pudgy coming into FSU and is now all muscle. _________________

I love how everyone compares him to white NFL players. Not black players. Unbelievable just because he's white. _________________

It's a running joke because professional analysts, almost without fail, never compare players to other players unless they're the same color regardless of whether the players are similar in any other regard, and then they compound that by using the same adjectives all the time regardless of whether that fits the player or not.
It used to irritate me, but now I just think it's hilarious because I've seen paid professionals make comparisons and statements that are so flat out goofy you know they can't possibly have used any other basis for comparison lol. |

Well, then how about we just compare him to Brandon Graham and Robert Mathis?
I don't think they're as similar to the Germinator as Vanden Bosch or Jared Allen, but if we wanna shy away from that trend... _________________

I wonder if Werner will bulk up this offseason similar to Justin Houston to show NFL teams he could atleast get consideration at 4-3 DE at 270 lbs. +/- ? _________________

Another sack today before the game was suspended. 5 sacks already on the season. I know these are cookie cutter schools he's facing, but 5 sacks in 1.7 games is pretty impressive regardless. He is absolutely beasting right now. Can't wait to see him against a quality OT. I wish FSU played UNC and Texas A&M this season. Would have loved to of seen the potential match-ups for Bjoern Ultimatum. _________________

He just turned 21 a couple months ago. How is that old? I mean, I realize that's a year older, perhaps, than the average sophomore, but it's not like he's ancient. It's not like Brandon Weeden, who is a 28 year old senior. |
If he's a true sophomore he should be like 19. Born in 92. He was born in 90. I just figured he was a few years old for your typical sophomore. I guess he went to a prep school for a year and was probably old for his age to begin with. Brandon Weeden is different. He played baseball before he came to OSU. |
He's only a year older than most other sophomores. I'm a junior and I was born in 92...I'll be 21 in Jan.
Sophomore year is when people turn 20. He isn'tt hat far ahead _________________
