I think this will be a close, low scoring game with us pulling one out at the end. Similar to our first game last year.
With the news of Palmer starting, I expect McFadden and Bush to combined for maybe about 40 carries. I see Hue calling a very safe and conservative game as he tries to ease CP3 into the offense. I don't see expect our redzone offense to look sharp, so Jano is going to be big for us as he always is.
Defensively, I expect our defense to have another good game at stopping the run. Jackie Battle is a solid player, but he is no Jamaal Charles. Richard Seymour and Tommy Kelly should have very good games this week against the Chiefs smaller interior lineman. We are going to stop the run and force Matt Cassel to beat us through the air. I think Dwayne Bowe will have a good day, but I see us limiting their other receivers.
Raiders take this one 20-17 |

Damn . . . . Bus just backed over Campbell, lol.
Glad the team is excited to have a QB of his caliber. Hopefully they gel quickly and make something special happen. |

lol Garrard has a serious stigma around the league as a bad leader. _________________

As much as comments like that (and numerous others he's made this season) are just totally unnecessary, they're pretty funny. TK. _________________

That, and that he literally crumbles when the going gets tough. _________________

Is it just me, or does coach Jackson seem much more relaxed and easy going? I can't place a finger on it, but his attitude seems different, relaxed seems the best way to put it. I wonder if it's from his team being 4-2 and his team getting recognition as a winner, him getting comfortable with the coaching position and relating to the media, maybe him not having Al looking over his shoulder now? I wonder if he feels more job security? I don't know what it is, but watching the post-practice media session I got a different sense of Hue that how he normally portrays himself. I think it's a good thing though. You can tell he's got confidence now, sincere confidence that he has a good football team.

If there is one thing that Hue Jackson has shown us is that he never takes his foot off the pedal. I'm sure if Carson plays, which most likely he will, Hue will be very aggressive. |
