Heres what jsonline had to say about him.

Seems like he could be a decent prospect this year. |
Love him, might have to move up in the 3rd to get him though, could even sneak into the 2nd Round. _________________

Regarding Taylor, if we want him it will probably be with our second rounder. That's about where his draft stock is at the moment, and he may not even make it there.
Regarding Perry, I'm not so sure we run a hybrid. There was a speculative piece about how we may switch to one, but there has been no word of such a change coming from the coaches or front office. Perry could possibly be a player as a nickel rusher with his hand in the dirt regardless, but I feel like that would be an awfully niche position to take with a first rounder. _________________

maybe hybrid was the wrong term. But he'd certainly have a spot on the nickle defense I'd think (which we run a TON) and wouldn't be a niche position IMO. |

that's valid, but the board would have to shake out a very specific way for me to be happy with the selection..I do like the idea much more than trying to get him to handle the duties of an OLB _________________

I want to buy this but ever since Schefter switched allegiances his credibility has really dropped. _________________

Schefter: Ted, is there a possibility of moving up?
Ted: There will be good football players before our pick, there will be good football players at our pick, and there will be good football players after our pick. We are going to try and get the best football players possible.
Schefter: Thanks Ted, good luck. _________________

The only players for the Pack that I view worthy of trading up for are Cox or Ingram, and that would mean moving up into the top 15. But if it happens, TT knows better than I.

That can be said for multiple players. Perry might not be the best fit for OLB but with the fact we run our nickel around 2/3s of the time might make his value higher than others. Matthews dropped in coverage 22% of his snaps vs the pass while Walden dropped around 30%...I think Perry could drop around how much Matthews did most of last year(it seemed as if he was dropping more often towards the end of the season and I think his #'s might be skewed a little). I have Perry ranked behind Branch as a OLB but I think I would take him over him because I think he will bring that pass rush from day one. But then again if Peprah is starting at safety I don't think it matters too much. _________________ @PJHotel_

the thing is, if Perry drops the 22%, that would mean Clay would have to pick up the slack and drop the 30%. Matthews is solid in coverage, but I don't want to lower the percentage of snaps he rushes.
All in all, I think a 4-3 team would find much more value in Perry than we do. I actually think he can be a regular pro bowler in the right fit. Not so sure that this is that fit.
Regardless, just a few hours until we find out. I don't think I've ever been so excited for a draft. _________________

No kidding. We have no clue who will be there, seems like this year is going to be completely random(even moreso than usual)> _________________ @PJHotel_
