Jeremy Maclin carted off the field with a serious leg injury.

Sucks that a player is getting injured, but if it is serious and whs out for a while it is favorable to us.

On NFL network they are saying he tore his Acl and Mcl

Sucks for that kid....I think he was primed for a big year. Hopefully he can make it back better than ever. I hate to see serious injuries for anyone...hopefully its not a Bernstine situation!!!
They're saying he only tore his ACL now, (not his MCL) but he's definitely out for the year.

So, I was curious who else the Eagles had to fill Maclin's starting spot (obviously Jackson's got the other nod), and it ain't pretty:

Code:
10     Jackson, DeSean     WR     ACT     5'10"    175     12/1/1986     6     California
    5 SEA,  71 GP, 70 GS, 274 REC, 4785 YDS (17.5 YPR), 23 TD, 54 CAR, 371 YDS (6.9 YPC), 13 FUM

81     Avant, Jason        WR     ACT     6'0"     212     4/20/1983     8     Michigan
    7 SEA, 100 GP, 39 GS, 259 REC, 3199 YDS (12.4 YPR), 10 TD,  1 CAR,   1 YDS (1.0 YPC), 5 FUM

17     Benn, Arrelious     WR     ACT     6'2"     220     9/8/1988      4     Illinois
    3 SEA,  37 GP, 24 GS,  59 REC,  862 YDS (14.6 YPR),  5 TD, 15 CAR,  44 YDS (2.9 YPC),  2 FUM [all with TAM]

14     Cooper, Riley       WR     ACT     6'3"     222     9/9/1987      4     Florida
    3 SEA,  40 GP, 10 GS,  46 REC,  679 YDS (14.8 YPR),  5 TD

19     Salas, Greg         WR     ACT     6'2"     209     8/25/1988     3     Hawaii
    2 SEA,   7 GP,  0 GS,  27 REC,  264 YDS ( 9.8 YPR),  1 TD,  1 CAR,   8 YDS (8.0 YPC),  3 FUM [all with STL]

13     Johnson, Damaris    WR     ACT     5'8"     170     11/22/1989    2     Tulsa
    1 SEA,  14 GP,  1 GS,  19 REC,  256 YDS (13.5 YPR),  0 TD,  3 CAR,  12 YDS (4.0 YPC),  2 FUM

--- NO EXPERIENCE ---

89     Carrier, Derek      WR     ACT     6'4"     241     7/25/1990     1     Beloit
88     Cunningham, B.J.    WR     ACT     6'2"     215     5/29/1989     1     Michigan State
80     Momah, Ifeanyi      WR     ACT     6'7"     239     10/23/1989    1     Boston College

84     Murphy, Will        WR     ACT     6'2"     193     5/15/1990     0     Oregon
11     Shepard, Russell    WR     ACT     6'1"     195     9/17/1990     0     LSU

They also signed Dave Ball, who apparently played under Chip Kelly when Kelly was head coach at New Hampshire. Ball is the guy who broke Jerry Rice's TD record for Div I-AA(*).

Now, I would point out two things:
1. Arrelious Benn is not good. If they're counting on him to be their starting opposite Jackson, better for us.
2. Check out the size of that Momah kid.

(*) I always hated the names of FBS and FCS, but now that Div I-A will have an actual championship, can we ditch those stupid F-ing names (like what I did there? Wink ) once and for all?

Jason Avant is a solid Wr as is Riley Cooper, but neither is Jeremy Maclin who is the Eagles most complete WR. We already knew the Eagles would be transitioning to new offensive and defensive schemes on both sides of the ball and we know that's a tough transition, see the Redskins offense (2001 through 2010), but his injury is a huge setback for the Eagles offense.

As far as Ifeanyi Momah (Boston College). You're right, he gigantic! Shocked His size is more of a tight end at 6'7 and 239 lbs. I can't imagine he gets much separation against NFL caliber corners.

Avant is a good slot receiver, but I don't think you want him on the outside if you can avoid it. I guess Cooper is probably the guy who would be your #2, but that's a big step up.

Does he need separation at that size when the average corner is 5'11-6'0"?

What do you all think about an inter-divisional FF league? Have ~3-4 (12-16 total) posters from the Cowboys, Eagles, Giants and Redskins in a league for divisional bragging rights? Perhaps even a sig bet?

If interested, sound off Here. Tells us what site (ESPN, Yahoo) you prefer as well as any scoring/line up preferences.

Well so far, they are who we thought they were in the Giants vs Cowboys game!

Turnover prone teams. David Wilson just can't hold on to the ball.

Tony Romo and his young wrs aren't on the same page and leads to an int.

Demarco Murray saved a TD- great hustle by him

So far tonight Terrance Williams has ran a wrong route on Romo, which resulted in an Int, and he just dropped a wide open pass which could have been a Huge play...

Rookie wrs... Yeah, not a fan!

They clarified that as long as the player isn't doing towards an opposing player, they can have a victory celebration.

The biggest one that they didn't address when they originally announced it: the Lambeau Leap.

Than why name his move in the release? The Home Run celebration was a named part of it. :/
