The Cards just paid Fitz HUGE money. Shocked WAY too much IMO. I'm okay with it though cuz he's going to take up so much cap space that when PP becomes a free agent, we can sign him! Very Happy

Sucks to hear about Williams. Hate to see anyone miss an entire season, esp. rookies, even if they are our rivals.

Fitz's contract is massive Shocked Shocked

I guess they figured out that he couldn't roll out of the endzone fast enough with the new kickoff rule.

Seahawks tight end John Carlson will miss the season

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/08/30/seahawks-tight-end-john-carlson-will-miss-the-season/

Quote:
Carlson will miss the season with a torn labrum, Pete Carroll announced Tuesday. “That’s a big loss for us,” said Carroll. We agree. Carlson has averaged more than 500 yards-per-season in his three years in Seattle. He had a diminished role last year, but their offense needs as many versatile players as it can get. On paper, the Seahawks had one of the more intriguing tight end combinations in the league with new pickup Zach Miller joining Carlson.

I dont see the seahawks winning more tha. 4 games this season. Thats putting it mildly. I just dont see a running game passing game or anything that will threaten an opposing defense

Losing Okung hurts them more than anything else. Having Tarvaris as a starter isn't great. They could manage to pull it off by being scrappy, and getting good production from Lynch, Rice and Miller. But otherwise, I don't really see how they improved... the defense looks weaker to me. I won't go and predict just 4 wins... even bad teams manage to win 6 or 7 regularly. But last in the division looks about right.

Seahawks G Robert Galley, DE Jimmy Wilkerson Limp Out Of Preseason Finale

Seattle Seahawks left guard Robert Gallery and defensive end Jimmy Wilkerson suffered knee injuries during the team's preseason finale on Friday night, Danny O'Neil of The Seattle Times reports. According to O'Neil, Gallery was injured in the first quarter, while Wilkerson limped off the field late in the first half. Both may not be available for the 2011 season-opener against the San Francisco 49ers.

Think Surprised Avery got cut. Rams probably saw his health issue as an liability. The rams really had a weak WR core to begin with. They better hope their rookie WR's step up, which IMO I see both at best as just possession receivers.

I thought Avery was alright. I wouldn't mind giving him a look.
