Homer is gonna trade JVR and his next two 1sts for Nash...Homer hates late firsts Laughing

The Flyers aren't in on the Nash sweepstakes, and that brings a smile to my face. Very Happy

As does watching Giroux light up the Sabres again this season.

Never say never with Homer, that Pronger trade came out of no where Laughing

I'm just glad to get a good physical stay at home defenseman who's still young for not too much.

And yep always fun to see Roo to go off.

Lulz down 0-2, then turning on the Jets and scoring 7 straight. Wellwood is a rookie right? How many rookies have they played this year, It's insane.

He's basically the player we needed at this stage of the game. First and foremost his price tag didn't include any of our young forwards. Secondly but also importantly he's a physical player that blocks shots and can play special teams.

I wouldn't expect much in the way of offense out of him but I wouldn't be surprised if he was matched up with Carle similarly to Pronger.

Timmonen - Coburn
Carle - Grossman
Mez - Gustaffson
Bourdon

Grossman practiced with Mez today:

Timmonen-Coburn
Mezzaros-Grossman
Carle-Gustafsson
Burdon

Look like the pairings going forward. We should get JVR back soon too, the thing thats awkward is where does he play when he gets back when we get fully healthy? The top line is set with Hartnell-Giroux-Jagr, and Schenn has been a stud with Briere and Simmonds, and On the 3rd/4th lines you have Couturier, Talbot, Read, Voracek, Rinaldo, Zolnierczyk, Sestito, etc. We have a ton of forwards right now.

Ew. I'm sure that pairing will change within 3 games.

Agreed, but is it worth it to trade one of them?

The Philadelphia Flyers are reportedly listening to the Columbus Blue Jackets on the possibility of a trade involving Rick Nash.
There's a lot of arguments against the Philadelphia Flyers going after Rick Nash, one of them being that it might lead to cap complications down the road. After all, Philadelphia already has nine players that are scheduled to come with a cap hit of $4 million or above next season and then you'd have to add Nash's $7,800,000 annual cap hit on top of that. Another argument against is that a scoring winger isn't among Philadelphia's bigger needs. GMs Scott Howson and Paul Holmgren are expected to meet, but Nash might not be the only or even top item on their agenda.

If JVR is pulled off the ice during the game it will be official.

I'm not reading it. I'm getting texts from a friend close enough to the situation. Apparently they're trying to put Bryz in the deal.

If this happens, Homer will be ambushed. Sean better not be leaving. We need D not O,

Good luck with that. Bryzgalov is one of the most unmovable players in the league at this point.

Dreger says the Jackets want JVR, Bobrovski, & Schenn/Couturier.
