Man the Flyers like big goalies huh?

Between Ilya Bryzgalov (6'3") Niko Hovinen (6'7") Cal Heeter (6'4") and now Anthony Stolartz (6'5") we have a ton of long goalies under our control.

Stolartz has a ton of talent though.

Also we just took Shayne Gostisbehere, an undersized puck moving defenseman in the 3rd round.

Bryz is probably gone after 4 years. Then Stolartz will be the starter.
And Biron I guess will be coming first day of FA.

I honestly think Hovinen can be a very good starter in the NHL too.

We have some talented goalies under team control. Just need to develop them now. We need some defense prospects in the system though.

Bryz could be moved to a team needing to reach the cap floor in a few seasons if we want to go with one of the younger guys in the system you can. Especially in the seasons when his salary lowers. After 2015-16, his salaries are $5,500,000 in 2016-17 and 2017-18, then falls to 2,250,000 in 2018-19, and then in 2019-20 is 1,250,000. He'll probably be with the Flyers through his age 35 season (last season where his salary exceeds his cap hit), then moved to a team that needs to reach the cap floor.

Got another D Prospect in Larsson and Leiter a LW. Both are expected to be with the Phantoms though right?

We brought Biron back? He did alright at times. Certainly better than Bryz did this post season.

Free agency doesn't start until July 1st. We need a veteran backup goalie and Biron makes a lot of sense so that's why he's been discussed lately. Nothing official has happened though.

Regarding the goalie we just drafted, I don't know anything about him, but my buddy played against him in high school and told me he was one of the best goalies he ever played against. Take it for what it's worth.

As for the departure of JVR; it's kind of bittersweet for me, seeing as how he was my favorite player because he played in my hometown. It definitely was a necessary and good move for the Flyers, adding young talent to the defense. It's awesome how the Schenn brothers are now united together. I expect huge things from Van Riemsdyk in Toronto with a larger role and a possible line-mate of Phil Kessel.

Kesse-Bozak-Lupul will probably stay together, he will most likely be on the 2nd line.

Hate giving up JvR, as we saw in the playoffs 2 years ago, he can absolutely take over games. I am not a huge SChenn fan either, so yea, not a huge fan. Will have to wait and see what other moves we make.

Any chance we still go after Ryan if we miss on Parise? I mean, we still have a ton of tradeable assets to be able to bring him in. Even if we refuse to trade Scooter and Schenn (as we should) and decide were not trading Luke either, we have guys like Voracek, Read, Simmonds, Meszaros, Gustafsson, Marc-Andre Burdon, Laughton, and draft picks.

I heard that we're trying to do a Voracek and Coburn move for Ryan. Id throw up if that happened.

I'd do
Voracek
