VI -> XII -> VII -> IV -> X -> IX Top 6 for me.

XII was so far ahead of its time, that's why XIII got so much criticism. XIII wasn't bad, but XII was revolutionary. Even if you didn't like the story, the teammate A.I. is the pinnacle of gaming still. You were able to manage your team tendenacies to minute detail. I mean being able to have your mage type automatically stop everything and heal any team member with less than 25% health. Only Dragon Quest IX ever offered that level of customization in a single-player JRPG.

The FFX-HD might be enough for me to buy a PS3.

So, yea, that's my favorite one.

Both Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster and Kindom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix are Day 1 games for me.

So, they're gong to come out with a FFX HD for PS3 in Dec of 2013, and release the PS4 in Nov/Dec of 2013? I sincerely hope they release it for the PS4 as well seeing how it's not backwards compatible. That just seems a bit odd to me that they'd release a great classic like that on a machine they just replaced.

Seems to me this could have been a great opportunity for Sony to convince people to grab a PS4 if it was a PS4 exclusive.

FF6 (Originally FF3 on SNES) >>> FF7

Yeah, I said it. It's true, too.

If you like 12, cool....but you are severely overrating it here.

How was it "so far ahead of its time?" It came out in 2006....and while the battle system was cool, it wasnt "ahead of its time". If anything...it was a long needed change from the traditional FF style.

And while there were parts I liked, there are still parts of old FF systems I liked much more.

The story was good after you got deeper into the game....but the first 1/3 or half of the game drug on. it did get better but you had to wait it out.

And the characters...ugh. Thats the worst part about 12 and 13....not a single character I really cared about in anyway. None of them drew me in at all.

Dont get me wrong, its a good game....but I dont think its nearly as good as you make it out to be.

I thought it was basically FF fan consensus.

6 is amazing.

I've always kinda liked FFVIII honestly. Yeah the plot is full of holes if you look closely at it and you have to do some really dumb amounts of grinding WRT drawing magic, but I liked the battle system and thought the setting (especially late game) was pretty inspired.

I have to admit i've never played six. I have IV as far as FF Chronicles for my PS1 but it's almost impossible to get it to work since that console itself is toast and I can't get access to my PS2 for various reasons, so Neutral

My beef with FF8 was the fact that you could beat it with Squall easily... Also, not sure why you were grinding for drawing magic. Just get "CARD" off the bat from one of the first GF's and card a bunch of the good monsters... and go from there.

Also, go find an emulator and play FF6, now. It's one of the best games, ever.

8 was the only one I just quit playing. The story couldn't match anything else in the series.

I'm really excited for FF X HD. My PS2 wouldn't read my FF X disc anymore, and I was just about to face the end boss. I bought a PS3 instead of another PS2, but it wasn't backwards compatible. I still haven't seen the ending.
