In the end COD is more accessible to a larger group of gamers. It is easier to pick up, the unlocks and leveling system keep people interested and with such little change from one game to another there is little to learn when playing. It provides instant gratification with the ease of killing opponents and like golf....all it takes is a couple of good games to have someone hooked. COD is always a much more recognizable name, with record sales and a new one comes out every year. I know several people who have never played another game other then COD who picked up because some guys at work were playing it. Basically....everyone knows about it....even people wth no interest in games. |

This is true. I was actually really good at Halo 3 when I first started playing it, then 4 months later I started playing CoD and all my Halo skills went out the window. I'm still not close to being as good as I used to be, but I'll be dedicating most of my online time to Halo 4 since I'm not buying CoD anymore.

Halo plays a lot different then COD....it's much more about killing as a team (2 BRs are better then one). COD is all about reaction...
Need to move away from this COD talk...
This may have been discussed, but has anyone found a favorite map?
So far I really like the Valhalla remake (but it does seem red spawn dominates).
Exile is really good especially if I can manage to get in the Gauss...
For Small Maps I dig Haven....just a really well designed map |

I love the snow map for Big Team Slayer, might be one of my favorite Halo maps ever.
One thing that worries me about this game is the longevity of it. I'm not really fond of the rank system as it is, and think it's boring to be frank. I really enjoyed the way they did the Reach rank system and would be thrilled if they went back to the H2/H3 rank system.
