Vikings select Laurance Maroney RB Minn- The need at RB is going to be filled by the product from the University of Minnesota. Maroney's 4.3 speed and power will go nicely behind the line that will be improved through FA.

Dallas Cowboys select from the University of Texas OT Jon Scott.
Would be a huge boost to the offensive line. He has experience at right tackle and left tackle, and could start at Right tackle for the Cowboys first year and for a long time. _________________

The Browns will select:
Bobby Carpenter
OLB | (6'2", 254, 4.61) | OHIO STATE
Is tall with good overall size and frame to get bigger. Has very good straight-line speed for his size. Shows very good fluidity for his size. Is at his best in the passing game and could fit best as a 3-4 OLB in the NFL.
The Browines need some help on Defense as Romeo begins to create that well-disciplined defense that won championships.
OT, DT and OLB were atop of the priority list and as their are other linebackers out there, Carpenter seems to be the best fit for this team. This might not be the best value but the Browns should have him high on their draft board. The ideas was to trade down and have better value at this pick with Carpenter. He was the player being targeting the whole time. He's a local player and has been scouted often. He will be a great fit for the re-building of this defense. [/url] |

Tampa Bay proudly selects LB DeMeco Ryans from Alabama.
Took a long look at DE Mathias Kiwanuka from Boston College but after the Senior Bowl I'm going with a speedster who plays sideline to sideline and can play alongside Brooks then take over when the time comes. O'Neill and Eric Winston don't merit the pick. |
