Until he proves otherwise that's really not a disputable fact.
Every year there are tons of guys who the draft sites, and you, and I rate higher that proceed to go lower than anyone anticipated... and you know what? Most of them don't amount to squat as professional football players.
Jasper Brinkley - Graded as a solid 2nd round prospect by most "experts" fell to the 5th round in 2009 and has proved to be an extremely one-dimensional player as a pro, evidencing why he fell as far as he did.
Duke Robinson - The "top" guard in the 2009 draft class who was touted as a 1st round prospect by many... fell to the 5th round and hasn't done much of anything in Carolina even when their OL was ravaged by injuries last season.
Rufus Alexander was supposed to be some massive steal for the Vikings in 2007 - a 2nd to 3rd round rated linebacker prospect that they "managed to get" at the top of the 6th... he's been on 3 teams now, currently has no team, and was never able to stay on one for more than year. |
Yeah it always happens, happened with Jonathan Dwyer as well (not judging his NFL career or anything) but I would take the consensus #1 ILB over the consensus 12-15 ILB any day of the week. _________________

What does everyone think about David Vobora from St. Louis? He has a 7th round (original) tender, but I think he is worth more than that. He played very well in the games that he actually got a chance in. Could he fit in in our defense? He is only 6'2 240lbs. _________________

HE got suspended for PEDs IIRC. Doubt AJ wants him. _________________

What he got suspended for was the biggest bs possible. He sued the company that was giving him the supplements because there were substances in the supplement that were not listed on the label and the supplements he was using weren't on the banned items list or whatever. So pretty much what happened was he was taking a supplement that was not on the banned items list, but unknowingly to him, there were certain substances inside of the supplement that were on the list. Those substances were not listed on the label of the supplement. He also did take full responsibility because he put the substance in his body, but he did not know that they weren't allowed. Other than that he seems to have no character issues. _________________

This forever will be known as the Shawne Merriman defense.
THey give all players a list of approved supplements. You deviate from that list and to me it is a willful breakage of the rules. You can't claim taint after deviated from the "Approved" list. _________________
