I'm bored.....

Ray Lewis is requesting a trade from BMore. The only thing that BMore has been offered so far is a 2nd rounder. Would you give a 2nd rounder for a player of his caliber?

Imagine, Eagles trade down to the 20th pick, and pick up an extra 2nd rounder. Use the 20th on Gabe Watson, the extra 2nd rounder on Lewis, and switch to a 3-4 defense with Lewis AND Trotter in the middle. We'd have no more problems with our run defense to say the least.

If the Eagles still pick up Julian Peterson like I hope they do here'd be our front 7.

Peterson Trotter Lewis Jones
Patterson Watson Kearse

I like it.

um no I wouldn't trade for Lewis, he is older and has no place in our defense. We need OLB's not inside ones.

Also the thought of switching to a 3-4 is kind of dumb. Most of the players have no real fit in the 3-4 and are better off we stay in a 4-3.

No thanks. Ray Lewis only has a couple years left in the league, he's not worth giving up a second rounder.

Philly Irish, I wish we could talk politics, but they are very strict around here. I am a very political person myself, so I don't mind if you want to talk about it.

I think Ray Lewis is washed up, not to mention a murderer. I prefer character players after the whole TO debacle.

Actually I wouldn't mind getting him, if we can convert him to OLB (either weak or strong). He is a positive character player (minus the murder), and I don't think he is totally washed up. If we can get him cheap (3rd round pick or moving down in a round), I think he should definitely be considered. He definitely won't turn into a TO, since he isn't a media whore like TO.
