According to sources from the Baltimore Sun, Ray Lewis wants to be traded from Baltimore, and apparently has for some time...

This is pretty huge news, considering he is the face of that franchise and has been since its inception.

Any preliminary thoughts on where he might end up? As far as I'm concerned, he would be a great fit anywhere, but maybe for the Lions? He has worked with Donnie Henderson in the past, and I don't believe they have anyone really locking down the MLB spot. Having Ray on the 'Skins would be a dream come true, but I doubt the Ravens nor the salary cap would allow that to happen.

That would be some pretty huge news if Ray Ray leaves Baltimore, no matter where he goes. We're talking about one of the greatest LBs ever, who has always been a Raven and has been the face of their franchise for years getting shipped off...

Any ideas where he might go? I would love if he could go to the Cowboys. After we release some players and restructure some contracts, we should be well under the cap. He would bring instant leadership and playmaking ability wherever he goes.

I can't see him wanting to play in a 3-4 again. He's much better when he can get 4 big guys in front of him letting him play in space and work sideline-to-sideline.

He probably doesn't want to, but who knows? I was just speculating, that's all.

Yeah, I can't blame you, I'm busy picturing Ray playing in between Marcus Washington and LaVar Arrington, which would be easily the best LB corps in the league.

Tell you the truth, I would rather see Ray Lewis in between Marcus Washington and Lemar Marshall. Sure Lavar could explode next year becuase it generaly takes 2 years to get back fromt eh injury he had. But marshall played good last year at OLB in place of Arrington.

To bad this isn't Madden Smile He would just be another "U" player Razz

Here is the report from the Baltimore Sun:

http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/football/bal-sp.preston11feb11,0,2533177.column?coll=bal-sports-football

Baltimore would take a massive cap hit if they were to trade him.

The report doesn't give you the context in which Ray said it. There is a difference between saying something and demanding to be traded and holding out.

Hes going to want to go to a team that has a shot so I cant see him going to the Lions just because of Donnie Henderson. I just kinda have a feeling he will go to the Eagles. The rich just get richer.

Watch him end up in Minnesota. They certainly are close to getting all the way, and they sure do have the cap room to take his salary hit.

I saw this too, it was interesting, I really don't understand why he wants out.

Because he is being overshadowed by Reed. He won't say that, but that is why.
