Now that the first one is over, I figured there would be enough people to go ahead and do another one.
I'm thinking right now that we'll go with 10 participants drafting 10 people in eight rounds, snake formation. As of now, I figured we'd use a lineup like this
1 director
2 lead actor/actress
3 supporting actors/actress'
4 minor roles/cameos
Also try to consider which actors would be willing to take on each role, so it would be a good idea to know what kind of character they'd be portraying before you cast them. Once you have assembled your whole cast/crew, you will write up a brief description of the plot and which character each actor plays. This would operate pretty much the same as the last draft, but I'm thinking about a few changes
1. The first round of the draft will be for your director only. I figured this makes sense considering the order of a movie making process.
2. After the draft and the write-ups are done, we'll open up a separate poll on the forum to see which movie people would most like to actually see, just to give the draft some kind of point in the end.
3. The last two rounds will draft two people per pick (likely for your minor roles)
So if you missed the last one, or want to draft again, go ahead and post here to sign up (and reserve your roster post). The first 9 will get in.

I would be interested. When would the draft begin? Also, are you required to entirely create your own plot, or can it be adapted from a novel or other literature? _________________

We can probably determine when the draft will be once we fill up all the spots. And as for the plot, I don't see a problem with adapted novels or other things considering a good percentage of movies today are like that anyway. |
Alright then, sounds good, well I think I would like to give the Make-A-Movie draft a shot.
How will the created movies be rated or critiqued? Are there winners/losers or is it just an interesting and enjoyable exercise? _________________

It's mostly just for fun, but I'll open up another thread once the draft is over that will have an open poll for a certain period of time, so that will kind of determine the "winner". _________________

PM'ed you and noticed you were online. You are OTC in the NYG Fantasy Baseball Draft in case you didn't notice the message in your inbox. |

I'd be interested, but I can't be bothered to really come up with a plot or a bunch of characters (I could narrow it down to a genre, but nothing beyond something basic like "a Western revenge film" or "a smooth-talking criminal" or something generic like that).
Oh well. _________________
