I just want a stadium in buffalo, even if we can't tailgate.

Keep. Them. Here. It'd break my heart if we moved to LA.

One-year Bills lease off table, multiyear deal in works

Quote:
Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz told The Buffalo News that the one-year, patchwork lease option for Ralph Wilson Stadium now is off the table, and all parties are focused on a multiyear agreement again.

This is definitely good news.

Bills/County/State Sign New Lease

Looks like the Bills will be in Buffalo AT LEAST another 7 years, and (depending on new ownership) a good possibility of at least 10 more years. Good news for sure.

Quote:
Tom Precious of The Buffalo News is reporting that the Buffalo Bills, Erie County and New York State have agreed to a 10-year lease agreement for Ralph Wilson Stadium that will tie the Bills to Western New York for another decade.

Quote:
Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com, however, points out that the deal includes a one-time out for the Bills to move after the seventh year of the deal. At that point, the Bills will apparently be able to move the team - under new ownership - without having to pay that re-location penalty. This one-time clause is clearly aimed at allowing Ralph Wilson's estate to sell the team to the highest bidder, without the complication of the added fee, if the situation arises.

State, county and team negotiators have struck a final deal a 10-year lease with a hefty relocation penalty if the Bills leave to keep the Bills from delivering an economic and psychological blow to Western New York by shipping out to another city, officials with direct knowledge of the talks said this morning in an interview with The Buffalo News.
