That would really make me mad

the only thing that would make me more mad is if they deny him an interview. The Bears better grant permission. I know they are usually good about that. If someone is in line for a promotion they should be in titled to seek it out.

Wat? No...

Unless the Titans are retarded...

Mike Tice has never called plays for any offense ever, or served as an OC for any NFL team.

This is not something I'm worried about.

It would be a real strange choice…you get rid of Heimerdinger then bring in a guy who has never called plays Confused

The other thing is most OCs are brought in with a specific background…for example Martz is known for working with QBs…Tice is known for working with the Oline but Mike Munchak is one of the best Oline coaches in the NFL…I would think he would still have a big influence on the Oline.

Uh-oh...

If he leaves we're in trouble.

He turned dog-crap into a somewhat respectable unit this year. And I'm guessing w/out Tice, Webb wouldn't have improved and been cut from the team after this season.

We need him to improve whatever OL guys Bozo and Co. decide to draft or bring in on FA.

I don't have faith in Bozo drafting the best OL guys...he hasn't in the past and I see no reason he'll all of sudden figure out how to draft OL. We need Tice to neutralize his drafting mistakes and turn his mistakes into something that works.

He better not leave.

I really hope he doesn't leave. It could be major trouble if he does.

Deny. Deny. Deny. That's all the Bears have to do....or they could offer him more money or a promotion to stay here. Besides isn't one of the main reasons Tice came to the Bears was so that he could be closer to his kids who live in the midwest? I would be surprised if he left to take that OC job.

This is very bad.

You cannot look at the on field performance this year and see Tice's importance.

The real importance of Tice was in this offseason where he was going to scout and assist in an offseason that seemed to be focused on the OL.

Look what Tice did with a 7th round OT, imagine what he was going to do with a 1st or 2nd round pick.

I agree with those who think it would be a weird choice. Especially since the run game is really already the strength of TEN's offense IMO, which is where Tice would stand to provide the most improvement. It would be bad if he left and I don't want to see him go at all, but more than anything I don't really see the fit for TEN.

By the way, is anyone else finding all of the talk about how well our senior coaching staff did in 2010 and how we really can't afford to let any of them leave considering the response when Tice/Marinelli/Martz were put into their current roles last offseason? People were MAD about Marinelli and MAD about Martz. Now both need to stay. Crazy.

Titans faxed in their request to interview Mike Tice and were denied by the Bears according to Brad Biggs.

Here is the article. Horrible thing to do to Tice....good move for the Bears as far as their coaching staff goes. Still they should have stuck to their word and let him interview.
