This has to happen again this season. I feel like Rodgers is getting a pass for his 1 and done because of his record setting year and the fact that the defense sucked. We gotta win again before the media is all over him about not winning. I can hear it now. "How can he be the top QB if his super bowl year was just a fluke". Blah, blah, blah, blah. Need more Lombardi. |
That's just stupid.
Brees only won 1 ring and was 1 and done to a 7-9 Seattle team the next year. Brady hasn't won a ring since 2004 and the Patriots haven't exactly been dominant every post season since then.
The sports media likes to find things to criticize and pick apart about everyone, but that doesn't mean it's actually believable in most cases. |
Yes, but Brees was never considered the best QB in the game. I agree it's stupid, but the media will get on Rodgers if he doesn't win another ring. |
Step 1) Stop caring about what the media says
Step 2) Stop watching ESPN, they're beyond terrible.
Step 4) Profit _________________

Hard not to love A-Rods leadership style. Funny guy right there. Bunch of guys like that on this club. Sitton and Raji have a little of that in them also. At the end of the day it is just a game and having those guys to keep everyone loose goes a long ways.
My god would this group ever make for some good TV if they took a HBO deal. Not going to happen in Green Bay, but still...... _________________

Who in the world is saying that Rodgers is not the best QB in the league or at least in contention with the likes of Brady and Brees? I think you guys are looking for reasons to defend a guy that doesn't need much defending at this point. Plus half of the 'experts' on any show have to say things that most consider stupid because if everyone agreed and said what makes sense, whats the use of watching? _________________

Outside of those "renegade" analysts who will say anything to be different or stir up controversy, it's universally recognized that Aaron Rodgers is currently the best player in football. _________________

I love how confident and fun-loving A-Rod is...got to have some fun sometimes.
Also...love this quote:
| NFL.com wrote: | It's unclear if Mike McCarthy displays tangible human emotion, but Rodgers wearing red and gold in a team meeting won't sit well.
