2b = Trade John Abraham for a second round pick.
4b = Herman Edwards Compensation
4c = Lamont Jordan Compensation
6b = Kareem McKenzie Compensation
7b = Jason Ferguson Compensation
------------------------------------------------------------
1a. D'Brickashaw Ferguson, OT, Virginia – Think Orlando Pace.
2a. Max Jean-Gilles, OG, Georgia - Has the ability to be a dominant blocker at the pro level.
2b. Claude Wroten, DT/DE, Louisiana State – Had his senior bowl invitation revoke, was arrested for marijuana possession with the intent to distribute, but was dismissed of all charges. Claude is the perfect size for a DE in the 3-4 at 6-3 290. He would mix with Ellis and Robertson to create a dominating defensive line for years to come.
3a. Parys Haralson, DE/OLB, Tennessee - Haralson has the ability to be a playmaker in the NFL. He's a bit underrated due to Tennessee's losing record, as are most of Tennessee's other defensive players, which quietly lead one of the best defenses in the nation. Excellent pass rusher like John Abraham.
4a. David Thomas, TE, Texas - One of the top tight end prospects. High in character and leadership and work ethic. Smart and dependable. Would be a steady receiving tight end for many years.
4b. Dale Robinson, ILB, Arizona State - Will be a pleasant surprise to who whoever lands this hard-hitting LB. Can play in space with the best of them and is multi-talented. Fierce competitor ending one play against LSU after losing his helmet. This guy simply makes plays all day long and will flourish as a productive force in a 3-4 defense.
4c. Kevin Boothe, OG, Cornell - Has all the physical tools. Strong and isn't satisfied just to beat his opponents, he wants to dominate them. One of the top sleeper prospects in the draft.
5a. Clint Solomon, WR, Iowa - If Iowa had lived up to expectations, Solomon would have a lot more hype. He was able to pick up the slack when Ed Hinkel got hurt, and has developed into a mature play-maker. He's a sleeper who will surprise whichever team decides to draft him.
6a. Albert Toenia, OT, Tennessee – A former junior college transfer. A prototypical right tackle prospect who hasn't yet reached his full potential. Has some physical tools to work with and develop at the next level.
6b. Skylar Green, KR/PR/WR, Louisiana State - Projects as a "Slash" utility player in NFL. KR, PR, WR. Trick play specialist like Randal-El and Kordell Stewart. Playmaker. Value pick.
7a. Rashon Powers-Neal, FB, Notre Dame – A workhorse, is a do-anything and everything fullback. Is a superb pass blocker and pass catcher, who was underused in the latter form this past year. Great on short-yardage situation, able to move the d-line back a little, compares favorably to Brandon Jacobs of the NY Giants.
7b. Cletis Gordon, CB, Jackson State – Speed. Raw Athleticism. Apparently runs a 4.2. Let’s see if Mangini can make him nickel/dime back. If not he will be a productive special teams player.

*I didn’t select a QB, RB, DT, or Center for a reason.
**Check my previous posts to see why I didn’t draft a QB, RB, or DT. However I have seen more and more mocks leaving Laurence Maroney available the second round. If this is the case we should scope him up for he is a franchise RB we are looking for.
***I didn’t draft a center because I don’t believe it is a necessity. Mawae is figurehead for the Jet franchise. Though he is a 12 year veteran he was a Pro Bowler the previous six seasons and did not play poorly leading up to his injury. He has a few years left in the tank and can groom us a new center later.
Possible FA – Anthony Weaver, Baltimore Ravens. A big, young 3-4 DE.
Charlie Batch, Pittsburg Steelers. Solid veteran QB who filled in nicely for Roethlisberger.

i think moore will be a great guard in the nfl so maybe take a center if eslinger or mangold are available and mawae can groom them.
otherwise i think its a beautiful draft. robertson needs to gain 10 lbs and hes a good size for the 3-4 NT _________________

i think we can survive a season with a RB by committee if we draft T, G and C and everyone has to stay healthy. next year we will push for the franchise RB _________________

great draft. the only pick i dont like is the TE. Maybe consider Jerious Norwood at of Mississippi St. Hes 6'0 205 and runs a 4.40. He is a little small but i he can get up to 210-215, and maintain his speed, hes an awsome reciever out of the backfield and can run people over. He is very underated due to the fact Mississippi St. was like 3-7. Just a good consideration, and i wouldnt mind people throwing his name around incase we dont get our man DeAngelo.
Otherwise this draft fills almost all wholes, and Charlie Bach is a good fit and cheap too.

i like the TE pick if baker is out of here and jolley is cut, otherwise jolley and dreesen can split time. _________________
