If Droughns does go to a new team, it will be interesting to see if he continues to be the premier RB that he has been with the Broncos...or will it be another CP-type result? _________________

Clinton Portis is still a top three running back in the NFL.
Clinton Portis is good.
Every back here in Denver has been a product of the system.
Clinton Portis and Tatum Bell (hopefully) will be exceptions.
Davis, do I need to say it? _________________

I really doubt that Reuben Droughns will be successful with a new team. At first, Droughns started running over people, and thus the near 200 yard performances. But wear and tear effect was quick on Droughns. It was obvious that he wasn't as productive anymore since his fumbling problems against Miami and Oakland. Droughns had sub-par speed for a RB, and breaking tackles was his specialty. Towards the end of this season, Droughns was getting tackled by the first person to touch him... he average yards per carry weren't impressive as before. So, if Droughns doesn't go to a team with a great OL, he may end up being a major dissapointment next year, and possibly a FB again later in the season.

im not here 2 start anything im just voicing my opinion:
its gonna be hard to find out but time will tell....
shanahan has a good thing going up there with the system that he implements for his running game...i just think that they need a premier reciever...to take some pressure off the running game...lelie is a deep threat but thats it...rod smith is getting old...but he can still be that premier guy...what r u guys going for in the draft? _________________

What are you talking about? Lelie just a deep threat? Look, the kid had a problem holding onto balls. but not this year...and he certainly did more than catch deep balls. he made alot of big catches ... knowing he was about to be smashed. Lelie is solid. I think we need another reciever...but we also need better pass protection...so that jake isn't so tempted to force things...and by the way dallas needs a qb, and two recievers.

You won't get more than a 3rd for Droughns. He's not a tailback, and it showed in the second half.

Well duh, he's a deep threat, his job isn't to run down the middle of the field, he stretches the corners. Rod Smith, Darius Watts and Jeb Putzier are guys who can do that. _________________

Rod is old, but should be with us for a year or two.
Watts also made very big catches, but he did make rookie mistakes.
BJ Johnson was injured all year, I thought he'd be a decent prospect he should get some playing time along with Triandos Luke. _________________

they r all products of the system, davis being the exception, portis is not a top back in the nfl by no means. what has he done in washington 1300 yrds on one of the lowest avrg.s in the nfl and 5 touchdowns. What about that makes him one of the top backs hmmm....
