| I really doubt this. I don't think they would give up so much for Abe. If they do then hell yea, I'm all for it. |

Really good trade but Oakland would be pretty stupid to give up that much for him. I'd be happy if it was Abe for the 6th pick only so anything else is a bonus but again I doubt it'll happen. _________________ "The young heart attack, I spit that cardiac."

Hmmm...
Randy Moss = 7th Overall
John Abraham = 6th Overall and 2nd rounder?
Don't think so... |

maybe they ment a 2nd round this year and a second next year?
but i doubt a deal this good for the jets.
wow i would jump in on that in a hurry.
i would even give up anyone else on my team (except vilma and robertson and miller) as a bonus. line them up and let the raiders choose 1 or 2 players.
it prob also includes the jet 1st round in next years draft. |

Yeah right, why would the Raiders want a 28 year old injury prone player when they can have a lot younger and more talented Mario Williams? Thats not a knock on Abraham either since he is a great football player. _________________

Unless San Francisco gets the 6th overall pick could this happen. And even if that happened, we would need Green Bay and San Fran to select Mario Williams and AJ Hawk before Oakland had the chance. _________________

| It would be a very nice trade, and it think it is very possibly, but i still think this team needs a qb. does anyone think penningont has a shot? |

jets dont have a choice, pennington will have 2-3 years worth of shots. his salary is too high to cut.
this trade has no chance of going through.
the only chance it has is if jets give up a 2nd this year and a first and second next year which is outrageous. but it is the 6th pick, so we will see. |

It probably means we get a 1st and they got Abraham and a 2007 2nd.
I would take that deal in a heartbeat. We could nab Ferguson at #4 overall and DeAngelo Williams would still be available at #6 if the Raiders win the coin toss.
And Mario Williams doesn't fit into our plans. He's got the right weight but he's definitely too tall for the 3-4, he's more of a pass rushing DE and the 3-4 DE's are usually run stoppers and then the guys that blitz are from the outside linebacker spot...
That's why Abe is so important to us this season because he'd be a 3-4 tweener and he'd kill because he's very fast.
Otherwise though I like the move because I feel like we're going to need a new 3-4 DE anyway. _________________
