Yeah I saw this. Really don't get it...obviously Jamie Moyer isn't going to sign a AAA deal without wanted to get the call to the majors. He had a sub 2.00 ERA down there after multiple starts and yet we didn't give him a call up? Even with Arrieta still in the rotation?
Doesn't make sense to not give Moyer at least 1 start up here and see how he does. | Maybe because he's almost the age of Buck Showalter, played in as a factor. His 34 MPH fastball, I'm sure didn't help. _________________

Glad to see Jeezy and Mauer wit Power get it done yesterday. Two staples and glad to see they put the team on their back to take out the Nats. Crooked-Hat and Jimmy Johnson sealing the deal was also nice to see, too! Was at the game on Friday and it was bananas down there! Hopefully we can keep this up into October.
But to change the subject real quick, I saw this on an Orioles fan site. They said what if this trade went down...
Padres get:
Brian Matusz
Bryan LaHair
Xavier Avery
Orioles get:
Matt Garza
Chase Headley
Cubs get:
Clayton Richard
Cameron Maybin
Mike Wright
I like B-Matusz, but I'm all over that deal without hesitation. I like Avery a lot too, but I can deal with losing him. We instantly improve our team with two huge needed upgrades. Your thoughts?

Jeezy = Adam Jones
Mauer Wit Power = Matt Wieters
Crooked-Hat = Pedro Strop
The Sheriff = Mark Reynolds
The Deputy = Chris Davis
For inquiring minds. _________________

The thing with Wieters is he's so inconsistent hitting wise. Right handed, he mashes. Left handed he has some power but the average is quite low. Wish he would be more consistent _________________

Is that a joke? Why on earth would Chicago do that deal? They give up LaHair AND Garza and get no good players in return? Maybin is the only one with any upside, but his floor is so low. The Orioles aren't going to get Garza without giving up one of the top two, and they won't get Headley without giving up Schoop. The Orioles have a great 1-2, but their system behind that is mediocre at best, meaning that if they want anything more than a serviceable rotation arm, they're going to have to move one of the two big guns. _________________

And there's the problem with us trying to trade for peices at the deadline. I don't think there's any 3B/SP that will be available that would make us want to deal Machado/Bundy. _________________

That's the mire you're stuck in with having two elite prospects and a lot of filler. The only way it's even conceivable that you trade one of those two is if you get Hamels or Greinke with an extension, which ain't gonna happen. Or maybe Cargo with his current deal would be sufficient, but I doubt he's available. Besides those outlandish scenarios, there's nothing on the market that would intrigue Baltimore enough to give up Bundy or MM. _________________

11 hits in 5 innings?! Fo' serious, Brian Matusz?! Really?! You pitch that nonsense to Pujols my dude?! As much as we need a bat in the worse way, Pitcher is the priority. We can't continue to get in these big holes because of my man Jake The Snake and Matusz. (Sometimes Tommy "No-Hit" Hunter, too)
But man... this is not good running into a buzzsaw of pitching 2 weeks in a row. (Dickey/Santana) and now CJ Wilson and Weaver. Smh _________________

Our pitching is cooling down. They were overachieving early on, but now they look like the mediocre to below average pitchers they really are. It doesn't help that our offense has been stagnant as of late either. _________________

I grew up an O's & Indians fan...
Seeing Thome with the O's is amazing because I cheered for him as an Indian.
I'm just waiting for him to crack that 1st homer as an Oriole.
I know it's coming soon! _________________ Don't be afraid to turn the lights on...

Just wanted to point out, the Orioles and Cleveland Indians are the only teams in the league who have a winning record yet still maintain a negative run differential.
Just found that tidbit slightly amusing. _________________

I kind of expect Tillman to thrive now. His velocity is way up, even hit 97 a few times with an average of 95. That's over 5 mph more than before. Another starter is needed though _________________
