Choice of Cb

Alright looks like the Cowboys are gonna have a
choice at cb

Fred Smoot
Ken Lucas

Who would you choose

my choice maybe unpopular but
i'm going after
Fred Smoot he makes plays against everyone but us
he is a foreskin but Woodson's toe is a ? for me
i never see Lucas make plays
and i've seen Baxter beat too much for my liking.

You can also include Samari Rolle in this too.

Ken Lucas was one of the biggest playmakers at CB all last year. He had 6 INTs to Smoots 3. I absolutely love the idea of Lucas playing for us, and am so happy that the Seahawks have to worry about signing Matt Hasselbeck, Sean Alexander and Walter Jones, so we have a chance to sign Lucas.

Smoot is a very good cornerback no doubt, but coming from a messed up Redskins organization, He will expect alot of money that we will not give him. Plus He has stated how much he hates the Cowboys. I am not sure he is the best option for us, but is still an option to look into if he doesn't demand an overwhelming amount of money.

Woodson is good, but his injuries worry me. Plus he will probably demand alot of money for being such a big question mark.

Baxter is an average CB at best. He plays on such a good Ravens defense, that he looks better than he really is.

Lucas is my choice because he will probably be the 3rd or 4th most expensive CB this offseason, even though he may be the best option of any, besides Rolle.

If Lucas and Rolle cost the same, i think i still go with Lucas because he is 3 years younger...

Smoot did play in the division, so that makes him have more value to me
my cousin is a skins fan and he said
teams didn't throw to Smoots side a lot
that's why only three pick

i have another question
do you think these guys
should be paid more than
Newman and are any of
them worth more than Newman?

LOL Newman a breakout year come on He doesn't ever look like trys or play with any emotion at all. I know it was a down year from the D as a whole but honestly i feel cheated out of Newman

He allways looks to make plays. he came on with 2 INTs at the end of the year, and still ended up with 4 INTs on the year. more than Smoot(3), Woodson(1 in 13 games), Baxter(1), and Rolle(1 in 12 games).

Even the guys who didn't play a full 16 games, weren't even close to on pace to make 4 INTs. Newman could play with more emotion, this is true, but i loves Newman, and can see him making 6 or more picks next year.

good stats i kinda overlook a lot of positive things during a down year im just expecting our D to be in Chaos if we do a lot of changes

Troy Brown also got 3 INT's...playing NICKELBACK and not STARTING like NEWMAN...

Yeah, I think Newman will be a great CB. I'm counting on him to be a great CB next year.

My choices:

1) Baxter - He'll be cheap and he's a veteran from a good defense. He'll bring experience in the secondary. B/c of the contact rules, I think it's silly to get a premiere CB for a lot $. I think we need to get a really good NT, instead.

2) Smoot - He at least knows the NFC East, as someone previously said.

3) Lucas - He's young and good.

4) Rolle - Expensive, but could be worth it.

5) Woodson - Expensive and probably not worth it.
