He was just cut by the Vikings.. any chance at all that we sign him? If Britt is out, we definitely need him.

Oh and he has to clear waivers before being able to sign with a team, maybe we put in a claim?

I could see us putting in a claim, since its not much risk, but unlikely to get it.

If I'm correct, it goes by record or something like that, cause i read Bills have first dibs...

I doubt he'd even try unless the Pats signed him.

Bring in MOSS. He is still one of the best WR in the game and if we do claim him its only for the rest of the year. plus with Britt out and were in a bye week why not?

If he did that, talk about getting pimped! Give up a 3rd rounder and then watch Moss back to NE along with a rejuvenated Deion Branch....lol

Childress is getting fired.

Here is my view on the matter;

Let's put in a claim for Randy Moss. I'm sure most teams with higher priority are nervous about claiming him because he might not even report. So why not go ahead put a claim in? If we're the only team that would take a risk on him great and we add a still dangerous weapon on offense and if we don't get him we really don't lose anything.

Randy Moss has lost a step or two but is still a good receiver. Adding him would not only benefit Vince whose long ball is his best pass and would help keep defenses off of CJ. Plus with Kenny Britt out for the foreseeable future why not? We only got Nate Washington, two rookies in Mariani & Williams, Hawk who is inconsistent, and an injury prone Justin Gage. Makes too much sense.

Lombardi said he will clear waivers, but why not bid for him? I mean, we might have lost Britt for a while, I think he can come in here and do work. Please please let it happen. Please God. Pray

Which is why we won't do it.

But Fisher is going to think...We have a good group of WRs here that aren't any trouble makers and who worked hard this offseason. He isn't going to want to bump any of them out of the lineup to accomadate Moss.

Hawkins would be the only one, and it will be hard to do so after a solid game yesterday. Gage was already down.

But Fisher won't do it. I wouldn't mind seeing it, but Fisher won't do it.

I just read that his new team wouldn't have to pay him a dime, he is salary would be paid by Minny. So essentially the team would be getting Moss for free unless he signed a new deal. Its not much of a risk, we put a claim for him and we don't owe him a penny and his contract is up after this year. If he acts up cut his butt and we don't lose anything regardless.

We have everything to gain and nothing to lose by putting a simple claim in.

OK if anyone claims him by 4pm est tommarow, then that team takes on his contract. if he clears waivers, he can sign with any team and then sign another contract with the new team. so Vikings are hoping he gets claimed which i doubt it will happen.

I guess I'll be the lone dissenting view here.

No. No. No way.

He's a emotional basketcase right now. Did you see his press conference after the Minnesota loss? "I love the Patriots. I miss the Patriots. I can't remember which team I'm on now, but I wish it was the Patriots." This, about a month after his press conference following a Patriots WIN: "I'm not wanted here. I wish I could feel wanted somewhere. Why won't anyone tell me I'm good?"

Imagine now, after yesterday's heart-breaking loss in SD, that you have the media swarming all over our petulant WR who gave no effort and complained endlessly in a post-game interview. They answer questions about him for two weeks. They talk about him behind his back in the locker-room. You think that helps us become a better team? Not me.

He's 10% effort and 90% drama. Is he also the most talented WR ever to play the game? Yeah, I think so. And it takes an unbelievable amount of baggage to outweigh that talent. But I think Randy's got it.
