Whitten's been a real game-changing catalyst on a toilet bound team.

Well, McGinnest, Law, Seymour, Warren, Wilfork, and Watson were all first round picks.
In fact, most of the other 1st round picks since Parcells took over returned value:
Bledsoe - 1st round pick from Buffalo
Glenn - 2nd and 4th (I think) from Green Bay
Jones - 3rd, 4th, and 7th round picks from New Orleans
And Woody ought to return a compensatory pick in this year's draft.

sorry let me correct that starters on their offense last year graham was the only first round pick
