| Quote: | A note has now gone up on their website, which is translated below:
“The official release date for the Nokia Lumia 920 is the 14th of January 2013. During pre-orders the 920 proved to be really popular. As a result of this there is a shortage of Nokia Lumia 920's for the entire country (of the Netherlands). This means that we cannot guarantee quick delivery if you place your order after the 15th of December 2012. We cannot provide a shipping date at this moment."
Indeed preorder interest was so high, it rivaled the iPhone 5 back in November. When reader of the site Niels called up Bol.com he was told “…they just didn't know when it would be back on the shelves. And that the demand is 'high'”. |

Couple weeks ago it was China.. Now Netherlands.
Good news for those who want to see the platform succeed. _________________

Windows Phones are nice but if they really want market share they need to get some agreement with Google for their whole suite of apps to work on MS.
If google provides a native voice, music, chrome, talk and maps app, heck ill be jumping on the Lumia train
It was crushing to see Nokia go with WP instead of Android. They make some fantastic hardware. _________________

Kindle Fire. Cheap. Easy to use. Good reviews. That would be my choice in your situation. _________________

It is. And i'm not even on a touch device. It's great on a desktop with a mouse. Very fast and responsive. Had it installed since October and have yet to have a single issue. it's ridiculously stable.
Also, no anti-virus needed! W8 has it's own protection built in. _________________

I hated it without touch...then again I was looking at laptops only. _________________

yeah, on laptops it sucks b/c you have to use the scroll bar a lot with the touch pad. On a desktop it's way easier b/c the you can just use the mouse wheel to do that instead. I actually think it's easier with a mouse than using your fingers b/c it's more responsive. _________________

One phone to rule them all....
| Quote: | | The Windows 8 Phone will have an optional docking station and wired handset that is dubbed the "hub". When docked the handset can act as a traditional desktop phone and make video calls. The "hub" also comes with a 23" touch screen display, keyboard and mouse allowing it to function as a desktop PC. There is also an auxiliary 10.1" wireless tablet. |
