who here has Windows 8 (for desktops)? I'm loving it so far.
Only issue i'm having is that I can't seem to find advanced printing options like fast draft printing. All menus and options seem really simply and bare... maybe TOO simple. _________________

What made you go that route? How are you liking it? _________________

Not yet. I'm probably going to wait a bit. A wp8 will hold me over. _________________

Still shipping, I should have it by Friday. And I just really like what Asus is doing lately. Their product has really improved and it's better than the IPad3 in several categories (weight/thickness/GB/etc). _________________

Typing on a surface right now. I can give impressions later if you want. So far the only glitch I've had is setting up my outlook exchange, but I suspect that is due to my lack of knowledge. Everything else has worked flawlessly. Really happy with it at this point. _________________

Ok, I figured out outlook. I needed to click on imap... whatever that is.
So, right now I would give it a 8/10. I really like just about everything, the only real complaint is the learning curve right now. Its surprising how different this is from w7 & wp7.
Of course, I've only been using it for a couple hours, so that is to be expected. _________________

Well, as you know, I have a Windows phone right now and let's just say I'm not in love with it. That's why I somewhat avoided the Surface this time around. _________________

I thought you liked it? Whats your beef with the phone? Which one are you using?
I will be interested in your Android opinions if you dont like WP7..
I will post a surface review sometime in the next few days. I will likely return the Surface for the Lenovo Lynx... but it might be hard. My wife and kids have been playing with it every chance they get. They love it; but at the end of the day, I am buying it for work purposes and the other one is more in line with what I need (Faster processor, bigger HD, Full Windows, 16 hours battery life, etc).
PS - Dont let the return be an indication of the device though - I really like it, its just doesnt fully meet my needs. For example, because its RT, I cant install a couple of applications we use in my office. _________________

There are certain things I really like about it, but it's really glitchy sometimes. For example, I'll press on one of the tiles and the screen will just freeze for several seconds. Or when I go into pictures the pictures won't actually load. On top of that, the apps are terrible.
I know that the apps are also going to be pretty bad with Android for the most part, but I don't play games much anyways. _________________
