Well done Shero the Hero. Not sure if y'all know what type of player Iggy is and can still be, but the man has heart. Always wished that he would have played for the town both he and I grew up cheering for but he played for Edmonton's arch rivals instead. Still loved watching the guy play. For those that think his best years are behind him, well maybe, but he'll be rejuvenated playing for the Pens and having a chance to win it all.
Enjoy the show. Crosby, Malkin, Iginla et al are about to make some beautiful magic.

vs NYI Saturday
vs BUF Tuesday
at NYR Wednesday

Well, it certainly drops a little bit, but all of these teams are in the real fight for the playoffs and that #8 seed. But, with that said, I think we have a great shot at that record.

Really hoping MAF is ok, since we have back-to-back games next week.

From the recap of tonights game...

Quote:
Pittsburgh G Marc-Andre Fleury was scratched from the lineup while he recovers from an upper-body injury sustained in a 1-0 win over Montreal on Tuesday. The Penguins brought up Jeff Zatkoff from the team's AHL affiliate in Wilkes Barre-Scranton to serve as the backup to Vokoun ...

Going back to what Iggy has left... Honestly so hard to tell. He is having a down year but you got to take into account he's been the guy on a terrible team playing without a good centerman for basically his entire career.

Coming here, playing with Crosby or Malkin (or even Sutter for that matter) is a huge boost for him. I mean look at Crosbys wings!! Kunitz was 3rd in the league in scoring and even Dupuis was 5th in league in goals. I love both players but neither are true stud wingers. I'm sure Iginla will do well here.

For the line combinations... Lmao I have no idea now but it is a good problem to have. I think best way is just to play around with the lines a couple shifts a game and try to play them for strategies with who is on the ice for the opposing team/the opposing teams style. I think Iggy and Morrow will get time with both Crosby, Malkin and Sutter. Iggy probably bouncing around from 1st and 2nd line, Morrow bouncing 2nd and 3rd and then Dupuis bouncing 1st and 3rd line as well

I wasnt old enough to comprehend how good the teams were back in the early 90's, but this is by far the deepest, most complete and skilled team I have ever seen.

Gotta give credit to Shero. I wouldn't make this team on an NHL game because I would feel it would be too unrealistic lol. Gotta love his ability to attain players without hurting the core of the team. Amazing work

Speaking of that moron Biznasty....

Best tweet I've ever read Laughing

Fleury is okay and will be in the line-up tomorrow. They'll probably have him as back-up. Martin is apparently injured? Letang will be out likely 2 weeks with two(?) fractured toe(s?)

Damn, Martin is out for 6 weeks, broken bone. Not good, hopefully Tang comes back soon and 100%. Big loss for us since he was playing some incredible hockey this season.

I just read that. That stinks. He was playing the best he has ever had in a Penguins uniform. He really rebounded from a terrible year last season.

Iggy makes his debut today!

I agree with the lines above, but would put Cooke back on the 3rd line. Other option IMO is:

Kunitz-Crosby-Dupuis
Neal-Malkin-Iginla
Cooke-Sutter-Morrow
Bennett-Vitale-Adams

@penguins Today’s #Pens lines:

Kunitz-Crosby-Dupuis
Iginla-Malkin-Neal
Morrow-Sutter-Cooke
Glass-Adams-Kennedy

Crosby takes a vicious puck to the face. He's done for the Islanders game.

Not good. Sad

Taken to the hospital.
