Iím starting this thread to see what Dolphin fans feel the first three rounds will turn out for the Dolphins. I personally am not much of a mock drafter, mainly because I do not have the time to look at all of the teamís team needs.

Round 1
Jon Scott (Texas) OT Ė I donít see Jay Cutler falling to the Dolphins and there are no other QBís worth a first round selection. Jon Scott will be a franchise tackle the Dolphins have been looking for and will upgrade all aspects of the offense. Good tackles are a rare find and having a tackle that can anchor a line for 10 years is extremely important to being a successful franchise.

Round 2
Omar Jacobs (Bowling Green) QB Ė I know many are not sold on him as the right fit for the Dolphins, but I feel heís the next best QB and has the most potential. The Dolphins can send a couple of year developing him and his TD to INT ratio is top notch. In three years he could be experience the type of season Carson Palmer just had. The Dolphins will just need to exercise patience.

Round 3
Cedric Griffin (Texas) DB - A great prospect and would be a steal if the Dolphins get him here. Can play both corner and safety. Has good side and plays physically. I see him dropping to the third because of his speed, character, and the fact that there are a number of good DBís available in the draft. Will support the run and with coaching from Phillips, Saben, and Capers could turn out to be a great draft pick.

You can bash My picks if you like Iím doing this more to see what everyone else thinks. I didnít do rounds 4-7 because they are a little more difficult to judge.

Very nice picks. I would be happy with those.

Some say Jacobs isn't a 2nd round pick, regardless, I think we should jump on him early if there is a risk of not grabbing him in the third. Let him sit for awhile (year or two) under Gus or another FA QB and we will be solid.

hey those are pretty great picks for the dolphins. i would rather have charlie whitehurst or brodie croyle. but hey, if we pick omar jacobs that is fine with me. yeah i also think (like kyle) if were going to take a QB that we should not take any chances and go after one early. Jon Scott would probly be my fav pick in the first round if he falls and cutler doesnt. And i love having a big S/CB. cedric griffin is awsome for us, i would like to have greg blue also. either one would be awsome

Jon Scott LT
Greg Blue S
Brady Croyle QB/Charlie Whitehurst QB (whichever looks better to saban)
Demetrius Williams WR

That would make me very happy.

If there is a good chance both those two QB's will be there in the third, it would be an even greater value (Greg Blue would look nice in a Dolphins Uni).

Here's mine...

1.Jon Scott-Mite be there and I think he will.

2.Brodie Croyle- After watching him I think he gives Cutler a run for the 3rd best QB.

3.Greg Blue-I think he falls to the 3rd and we snatch him up, quick.

Well, from what I hear about Blue, is that he is POOR in coverage! Chances are he will play WLB in the NFL.

I wouldn't mind Griffin, but the Dolphins interview Chad Jackson tommorrow, what do you make of this?

But I think we deal Ricky...for another 2nd then, maybe we could get D'qwell Jackson or Bobby Carpenter, either way I'm happy.

IMO... if Cutler is gone, trade down to later in the first... They're should be takers such as the Carolina Panthers, trying to trade up ahead of Minnesota to take Lendale... So in the process we pick up a 3rd rounder...

1(24)-bobby carpenter LB, Ohio St.
2(4Cool-greg blue S, Georgia
3(79)-Maurice Stovall WR, ND
3(87)-Rob Sims G, Ohio St.
4(112)-Darrel Hackney QB, UAB

Maurice stovall is really looking good. If we get him we have some talent.

I think that Brodie Croyle, will look better to Saban...He is a former SEC player, and Saban usually goes with the SEC player, he has seen him play before.

Violent Monk I really like your picks. Hey does anyone know the name of the big WR from Central Florida? I saw him play in I believe the Hula Bowl and he looks impressive.

I also like your draft Brett, Croyle is a better QB then Jacobs for us..In the first round though, what is a bigger need really, OT or should we go for a Safety, maybe Bing..
