Very pumped for this. We're finally getting some national recognition.

Not a Falcons fan but i like that team.

Julio Jones recovery
Expectations after a loosing year
Linebackers competition (yet and more after Spoon's injury)
Tight-end position after Gonzalez's retirement
Jake Matthews and also Hageman worth a watch
more 34 looks with those offseason moves

Lots of reasons to watch the show, i can't wait.

Was the Falcons forced to do this since the NFL made a deal with hbo?

No, they could have opted out, but they volunteered

I would've opted out until I was forced to do it.

Well, Smith is best friends with Marvin Lewis and Rex Ryan who have been on multiple times and I'm sure he consulted them. I think Smith himself may have been on the first season when they did the Ravens, and again with the Jags in '04, so he must know first hand this it isn't a big deal at all.

Although I hate it, at least the world will be able to see the awesomeness that is Tyler Starr.

What do you expect, Blank wants every penny he can get after the Stadium deal.

The time wasn't right last year.

Great, 5 weeks of Blank slithering around Flowery Branch.
... and ultra conservative Mike Smith figuring out how to blow more games and 2nd half collapses.

Yep - that's the motivation. They need some good PR, and this will also earn them brownie points with the league office as it looked likely that no-one else was going to volunteer.

Not sure - Smith has done it before with the Ravens and Jags, so he should be used to it.

I'm looking forwards to this if only to see the intensity we run practice at (I've never been to open TC) and to hear Mike Tice's screams at the OL.
