How about a Hells no. That's just not worth it. So what, we'd get Mike Williams? Well, we might get him anyway. And then we still have a 20 pick. Remember what we got out of our 20-something pick last year? A 20 pick and Julius Jones. _________________

| the problem is in this draft i only see a couple sure things one is MW and the other is Derrick Johnson IMO these two have been hyped for a couple of years now and have risen to the occasion i can not put anyone else there except for David Pollack. I think if we keep both picks we need to get another high 2nd rounder or another first. we cannot assume that we are going to hit gold on both our picks in the first |

| hey i hate the buckeyes but Mike nugent is the closest thing i have seen to a sure fire kicker ever. He is incredible. hes like Vinaterri only younger. i would not be suprised to see him sneak into the late 2nd rd or early 3rd |

We can stay where we are and trade up with Arizona to get Mike Williams at #8 if we so desire (should the Redskins still be a threat for him). That would be a lot cheaper. Moving up 3 spots would cost a whole lot less than 10 spots. We'd also be able to retain the #20 pick.
Trading up (which Parcells never does) 3 spots would cost like a 4th round pick or a player like Dat Nguyen, for example.
I'd go for that FAR sooner than giving up two 1st rounders for the #1 overall spot that really doesn't have a "must have" #1 overall player.
If you look at the standings now, there's a great chance that Mike will fall to us at #11 anyway. |

Parcells NEVER does? i recall that one year he traded into the first round several times, and had 3 or 4 first round picks right?
Sean Ellis, John Abraham, Anthony Becht, was there another? i thought there was
Im not sure on the details, but he traded up for at least 1 of those right? |

The huge problem in trading with the niners is that it would cost us both of our fists and our second, if you know anything about the value of draft picks. for example:
1st pick has a value of 3000 points
11th pick has a value of 1200 points
20th pick has a value of 815 points
10th pick in the second round has a value 445
all these picks add up to 2460 --- 2nd pick value is 2600
If you're going to talk about trading for the number one pick with the 9ers make sure you know that it will take our fist day of the draft to get that one pick. For a team with a lot of holes to fill, this is a Horrible Idea _________________

How can Mike fall to 11? If a team needs a WR they won't take Edwards over him will they? and if Edwards falls to 11 will the boys take him instead? he is 6'3'', fast, but has a lil trouble catching the ball, which the one out of those three things that can be taught. he doesn't seem that much worse than Mike does he? _________________

theres alot of people who think edwards will be the first WR taken.
He did win the award for best WR this year, hes proven, he had a major game at the rose bowl, and he's faster. _________________

At this point Edwards does figure to be the first WR off the board.
If Mike Williams has a monster workout that could vault him past Edwards.
If he has a workout like he did last year than he will definitley be the #2 WR off the board. |
