Players to Watch
Steelers
Maurkice Pouncey The Steelers rookie center has been as advertised and with another solid outing could potentially take incumbent starter Justin Hartwig job.
Will Allen With Ryan Clark being out due to the a sickle cell trait. The Steelers newly acquired safety will get plenty of playing time and a chance to prove he's capable fill in.
Ziggy Hood The second year defensive end has yet to make a impact in a game and Steelers fan are impatiently waiting to see what they been reading about coming out of training camp.
Broncos
Ryan Clady The premier left tackle is returning to the Broncos offensive line after a freak accident in the offseason. His first game back should be a welcome back party as he'll be going up against arguably the best OLB in the game James Harrison.
Demaryius Thomas The Broncos rookie has yet to play in the preseason and will get to showcase his ability. With the departure of B. Marshall, D. Thomas will have to play big early for the Broncos.
Broncos Defense Last year the Steelers brutalized the Broncos defense by running the same counter play for large chunks. This unit will have to improve greatly if they plan on helping this team to the playoffs. _________________

I'm kinda interested in seeing how the Steelers defense reacts to Tim Tebow.
And I want to see Emmanuel Sanders get more playing time. Like that kid. Kinda like him to be our Wes Welker. _________________

Nice write up SP.
I'm extremely curious to what our IOL does against this 3-4 front. We've had previous success running the ball against this unit and I don't want to shy down now. I don't want to see tackle to tackle cutback play calls. I want smash TE to TE formations and just going at this Denver team. I want to see who's ready to step up along our interior and win the two up-for-grab jobs.
Love the avy B7BMVP. _________________

Agreed. I hope Gibson gets a good lick on Tebow as well! Bit of revenge for that embarrassment a few years ago. _________________

This will be a good game. 3rd game of the preseason is when players start getting into regular season form. _________________

Doubt you will get to see that. He reaggravated his foot fracture. He is currently doubtful on the injury report. _________________

I somehow missed this....
| Quote: | | (RotoWire) Lewis (concussion) has resumed practicing, the Steelers' web site reports. Analysis: It is unknown at this point if Lewis will be able to play in Sunday's preseason contest against Denver. Expect an update from the team in a day or two. |
When did this happen? _________________

Ah, didn't see all of the game. So, can anyone clarify the new concussion rules? _________________

Pouncey starting. Ben to start, but Dixon is supposed to get a number of reps w/ 1st team. K Lew is supposed to start in place of injured BMac (shoulder) all according to Post Gazermtte articles on Pouncey in todays paper. _________________

Im hoping Ben can put together a scoring drive quickly and then get off the field and make way for Dixon. I dont think Ben needs alot of time but I do think he needs a scoring drive for his confidence. If he does that quickly, get Dixon in there and see what we have. _________________
