I just finished The Hidden Reality, a book about theoretical physics, string theory, the future of physics, etc. Was really good and not so over the top that it was a difficult read, although some of the theories were somewhat difficult to understand at first glance. Greene does a great job of making very difficult subjects easy to understand.
Oddly enough, I just saw, while I was reading this book, that he had 2 different mini series on Nova. Both were about string theory and quantum physics. The book takes those 2 series into further detail, but if reading a book about quantum physics isn't up your ally, the 2 Nova series would be a great replacement. _________________ Adopt-a-Brown: Jabaal Sheard - Stats:

Now I'm onto the second one, The Magician.
First one was really good, bout a quarter of the way through the second. Glad I started, really my kind of books. |
Finished The Magician a couple days ago, 71% through The Sorceress, probably try to finish that one tonight before bed, shouldn't take me more than a 2-2 1/2 hours.
Three more in this series after The Sorceress and I'm going to finish up War and Peace. _________________

I'm reading the Unicorn Chronicles to my kids at night.
I'm listening to the Mass Effect books (1&2) right now.
Can anybody suggest a good space opera?
Honor Harrington was good for about 3 books until it got too political.
I just listened to Stark's War and I found it a little bland and slow. _________________

Finished the entire series for The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel.
It was really good, I thought the last book was rushed, though.
Now reading the Kane Chronicles. _________________

I can't wait until school and work die down a little bit, still very hectic getting used to this new school and schedule.
I've got three books to read, first one up will be Catcher in the Rye, I never read it in High School. Better now then never. _________________

Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy by John Le Carre.
Heard the movie was good, figured I'd check the book out. _________________

everything's eventual. collection of short stories by Steven King.
This dude may get some backlash but he's a legit writer.
He's more than just a great horror story writer. _________________
