My dream scenario would be Harden. He's demonstrated the ability to take over games, is a stud defensively and can get his shot from anywhere. He simply hasn't had the chance to start and be The Guy since OKC already has Westbrook and Durant.

Rubio - Webster - Harden - Love - Pekovic

That would be an awesome lineup.

First off, Harden is a SG, and Webster is a SF, so they would have to be swapped.

Second, no way OKC trades Harden unless they decide the third banana they'd rather pay is Ibaka instead of Harden. But, considering that no one else can contribute on offense outside of Durant/Westbrook besides Harden, I'm willing to bet they keep him.

Third, if OKC does decide to part with Harden, it will cost a lot. From us, assuming Rubio/Love are untouchable, it would likely take a trade of Pekovic and Derrick Williams.

Total dream scenario for this summer, I know. But next year, if Harden wants to stay, he's gonna have to take waaaaaay less money than he could make on the open market. The Thunder can't afford to be way into the luxury tax, and already have tons of money tied up in Durant/Westbrook.

Only chance is if the Thunder feel like they can get SOMETHING for him before he simply leaves as a FA.

It'll be similar to Love's situation. Since they're both on rookie deals, if Harden wants to go elsewhere, he'll have to take the final year qualifying offer and pray he doesn't get injured or stagnate and lose millions. Harden would likely look for the same contract as Love, four year deal with opt out after three. Then after six or seven years in the league, he'll go for his max deal if worthy.

Only potential hold up is if he becomes an RFA, meaning he potentially takes the QO, and some team signs him to a max deal that OKC thinks they can't match without seriously killing their cap. But as proven, you can give three guys max deals, and still have room to fill out a roster.

Harden's not going anywhere for at least 5 years.

God that's a sexy sig. I need a new one badly (obviously it's been a while since I updated mine) and since I spend more time in the basketball forum than the Vikings forum, I should probably go for a Wolves one. I'd kill for a Rubio one with a similar design. Jamison think you could make me a Rubio one? Please? Mr. Green

Is Pek hurt? Or is he just not starting this game? I only started watching this game in the third quarter. If Pek really is on the bench right now, that would be awesome. It means wedding have 3 good players waiting on the bench when they come in (Beasley, DWill, Pek, maybe Barea). Darko has been playing great!

I was at the game last night, that was a fun one to go to. Kevin Love is extremely good, and Blake Griffin was horrible at the free throw line. He lost the game for the Clippers with his inability to hit any free throws.

We have quite a bit of Wolves fans on the forum here, its pretty nice. This isnt the first one weve reached this much on.

Theres also excitement around the team that there hasnt been for like 6 years.
