|
|
|
Here is a FAQ. I'll add to this as needed. I will no longer answer any of these questions in the feedback forum or via PM. If a new member comes along and asks these, just point them to this topic.
Why can't I send or receive PMs?
http://www.footballsfuture.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=23378
Can I be a moderator?
Don't PM me about being a moderator. If we want you to be a moderator, we'll contact you. The best thing you can do is let your actions on the forum speak for you. Follow the forum rules and set a good example for new members. We are looking for mature, well spoken, helpful, leaders to be moderators. If you have these qualities, we'll find you.
How do I get a cool signature?
Visit the Sig forum : http://www.footballsfuture.com/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=48
Why is the site slow?
http://www.footballsfuture.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=22067
I'm having problems staying logged in to the site
http://www.footballsfuture.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=2632985#2632985
Can I change my username?
No.
http://www.footballsfuture.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=1062828#1062828
Why don't we use vBulletin, phpBB3, Invision, etc.?
http://www.footballsfuture.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=3638175#3638175
Why can't we discuss race, religion or politics?
http://www.footballsfuture.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=4440382#4440382
Can we add a friends list, ignore list, quick reply, member ratings, or another new feature?
I'm not going to reprogram this software or add modifications. Its far too time consuming and there is a huge risk of downtime. The features that are on the forum are the only ones available at this time. Sometime in the future I may upgrade the forums to another type of software. At that time I'll ask for feature ideas. However, right now there is no reason to suggest 'new' features. More...
Can we add a forum for HS football, college basketball, hockey, video games, movies, etc?
There wouldn't be enough interest to justify the effort needed to run it and the space it would take up on the main page. Plus we need to focus our energy/effort on existing forums. That is where we will receive the most return for our efforts. Each forum requires a certain amount of effort to find a moderator, oversee that moderator, oversee the forum, etc. We have 40 forums, I'm sure there is one that interests you enough to post in. Lets concentrate on making our existing forums better with quality discussion then worrying about adding new forums. If you want to discuss anything sports related that doesn't have its own forum, just use the other sports forum. That is why it is there.

Yea some of these questions are constantly being brought up. Good idea Webby, just helps you and keeps the forum from having the same thread after thread. You could probably add what happened to (Poster's Name) thread incase the people dont know that thread is the What happened to Cowboys#1? thread. _________________ R.I.P. Thanks so much for doing this. I usually try to point members in the right direction, and now this makes it easier. Good decision to make this thread... |

Maybe if we make a new post here, people will read it, they see all the threads getting locked and still must not understand, maybe we need a post just for PMs, lol _________________

No. They never see threads for PMs that are 3 in a row and then skip one and then 2 in a row. It just doesn't make sense. _________________

is there anyone way to send the same pm to 32 diff people at a time? Do you do it just like an email and just put commas between?
I am running the sim league and I would like to be able to pm everyone at the same time instead of doing it one by one _________________

There isn't a way to do that, it would be a spammer's heaven if that option existed. _________________

yeah, that is pretty bad for williamohms, i understand why you can't have that for everyone, but why not for people who are veteran posters? like after 100 posts you can send pms to multiple people... _________________

No not 100 post it would have to be much much much higher like around the thousands I am guessing. That absolutely makes sure that there would be little chance of a spammer using it. _________________ R.I.P. Nikolas and Brian you will truly be missed.
