With the 12th pick in the NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings select Jimmy Clausen, QB from Notre Dame. _________________

If Miami trade back about 5 or 6 picks, I think they could pik up some extra assets as well as get better value for Williams who shouldn't be taken by anyone in that range. |
First off, there is no guarantee that Dan Williams will be available at twelve, let alone five or six picks later. My guess is that the Fins are looking for a pass rusher. |
There's no guarantee any player is to be available at a certain pick in stages of the draft. But Miami is a team who needs help at NT in big way. A true anchor to their 3-4 is a tad more important than a WR... and as I said, looking at the teams a few picks behind them at #12, I'd say it's difficult to pin point a team who is sure to take Dan Williams should he be available there. Buffalo is the only legitimate team that I believe will look to Dan Williams in the top 10. _________________

Hopefully someone is willing to trade up to #12 for Bryant, Morgan, Clausen, Haden, Thomas or an OT.
I wouldn't be surprised to see the Eagles (lots of picks), Jets (generally aggressive in going after the player they want), Colts or Vikings look to move up.
If the Doplhins could get something along the lines of a third and 2011 second to move down into the late first I would be very happy _________________

Yup,
Imo Best case scenario, Dolphins will trade down to recovery our 2nd (B.Marshall deal), then We select DAN Williams, and 2 olb and a S we our remaining pick. _________________ MIAMI DOLPHINS FAN.

I would LOVE to have the Packers trade up for Haden or Bulaga, but I don't think either will be available there. _________________ @PJHotel_ |

For Thomas, I could see CIN, HOU, or maybe even GB trading up. Most likely trade up for Thomas, I think, would be the Bengals. If he is there at #20 right before CIN picks, the Texans will take him. Don't count out the Eagles either. If Morgan falls, I think most likely to trade up would be TEN, ATL, or NE. The Pats have a lot of 2nd-round picks. Only other player that could be a trade-up option for would be McClain, but I think earliest he is gone is #10 to JAX, latest is #11 to DEN |

I can see my cowboys doing the trade up. We have one or two real needs at safety and oline depth. We could possibly nab Earl Thomas and ill be a happy man. _________________

Yeah, if Berry is off the board early and Thomas is still available at 12, Philly will more than likely move up. |

I'm a bit late here, so you obviously beat me to it. That was a scenario I was thinking of as well. I was also thinking maybe someone could be moving up for someone like Spiller or Haden assuming they're not off the board. A move up for Haden could make alot of sense, b/c I could certainly see SF taking him at 13. _________________

The Broncos pick 1 spot ahead of the Dolphins, and we are certainly going to be looking into moving down as well, so the Phins may find it difficult to move down if the bigger names are off the board after #11. _________________ 20 TIMES, 20 TIMES MAN UNITTTTTEEDDD

I think the only way he is there is if the Bills trade for Cambell or Ben. If the Bills don't then I guess Clausen will be a Bill. _________________

I guess it depends whether the Broncos are a threat to take the player. Teams will only trade to #11 instead of #12 if they think that the player won't be there at #12 because it will cost less to move up and they will pay less. _________________

Not necessarily. Teams will also trade up to prevent other teams from trading in that spot, or even the spot after. #11 is an extremely enticing place to trade up to because it is the first slot outside of that top 10 money grade. _________________ 20 TIMES, 20 TIMES MAN UNITTTTTEEDDD

The Broncos are going to take Bryant or McClain at 11 anyways so its a moot point. _________________ "well, they got X player I wanted but they clearly overpaid" is the battle cry of bitter and ignorant football fans
