I'm from NY, and I live in New Orleans. Ive been a fan since I was a little girl. I get dogged all the time for being a Minnesota fan, and I always feel like an outsider on forums like this cause I've never even been to Minnesota. BOO. |
how bout being from Miami living in Tampa and being a Viking fan never in my life have I seen snow. |

Mac used to be quite a touchy guy, yes.
by the way, this site has a Canadian guy who lives in Edmonton, Alberta, yet is a fervent Tampa Bay fan.

Back in the 80s, I was a huge fan of the Carlton Football Club, and I've never stepped foot down under. I miss watching Aussie Rules Football on ESPN. Does that count? _________________

Guess what? The 5th installment in the Rambo series is coming out in 2011.
This was more or less my cheap way to bump this thread _________________

I mowed my lawn this past Saturday. It was a nice 70 degree and sunny. Monday rolls around and it's now in the 30's and snowing. I love being back in the midwest!! _________________

It snowed here too this morning if it makes you feel any better.

Posted this in the TAST forum but:
I've just recently started drinking wine as I think my taste has matured enough to appreciate it. I really enjoy Cabernet Sauvignon and Chiantes. I'm not as much of a fan of white wines either.
What's the best bottle of wine you've ever had?
The most expensive?
Food pairing tips?
Suggestions on good wine that is NOT expensive?
For me, the best bottle I've ever had was my fiance's uncle's. He has a wine cellar in his basement and it's full of magnum bottles of really expensive wine. He brought out a bottle of Caymus special selection Cabernet Sauvignon. It was the best tasting wine. Also the most expensive. I'm glad I didn't buy it at $119 a bottle
As far as good inexpensive wine, I really like Concha y Toro's Frontera wines. The Cabernet/Merlot blend is very good, and it comes in Magnum size bottles for about $8-$9 a bottle, although you can buy it at Costco for like $6.49 a bottle or something like that.
Any input anyone has would be great! _________________

Rambo sucks. I think I watched one of them and was absolutely horrified at how bad an actor Stallone actually is. _________________

It's lunch time for me, so this is a fitting reply...
An attempt at two above ^ questions, and some levity, simultaneously.
Best bottle of wine I had was one I drank myself, in one sitting, I think. I can't recall when or where, but it was good.
Food pairings? Color of the dish should be similar to the color of the wine; i.e. red meat with red wine, white meat / fish with white. Yes, I know, that is simplistic, but it is usually correct. Or, country of origin should match for the wine and dish; e,g, French food and wine, Italian food and wine, British food and wi, .... er ale. _________________

I'm from New York and a Braves fan and until recently a Cowboy Fan.(Then they released T.O. and i realized how much Wade Phillips sucks and how much I hate Jerry Jones) But I LOVE Brett Favre and root for whatever Team he's on. When he leaves I will be a fan of Football.
My Question is who are the Starting Safeties for Minnesota this Year?(Tyrell Johnson and Madieu Williams?) And I'm guessing since Vikings didn't draft a QB Brett will definitely be coming back?(I Expect him to play FOEVER) Will Chris Cook be playing Corner or Safety?(I'm guessing CB). _________________ NFL- Tim Tebow

My honeymoon is an Alaskan Cruise leaving from Seattle, stopping in Tracy Arm Fjord, Skagway, Juneau, Ketchikan, and Victoria BC.
Any suggestions on fun things to do whilein port, or has anyone been on an Alaskan cruise like this? Many of the suggestions they have for things to do on shore seem either WAY overpriced, or uninteresting _________________
