I had the dream last year before the draft that AL drafted DHB.

Somehow I think AL will get Big bruce.

dude is 6'6 315
36 and a quarter inch arms
10.5 inch hands
and jus did 34 reps on the bench

and if he runs a 4.9 Shocked

All the reports say he is a pass blocking wiz so that is def a plus
Cable can perfect his run blocking skills.

I kinda falling into the Bruce bandwagon.

only red flags from nfl.com
http://www.nfl.com/combine/profiles/bruce-campbell?id=496994#tabs:tab-analysis

"Durability is a major concern as Campbell has dealt with multiple ailments including a brain issue. Will overextend into blocks and lunge at defenders on occasion. His instincts are questionable, especially in the running game when moving to the second level. "

Brain problems? wtf

what do you guy think esp if Okung is gone.

For the record: Id be happier than tiger woods at the playboy mansion if we got Okung.

He is my favorite draft prospect, and I would be estatic if select him. Would be a huge upgrade for our O-Line Cool

Update on brain issues

http://voices.washingtonpost.com/terrapins-insider/2010/02/bruce_campbell_not_worried_abo.html

Quote:
Campbell said the surgery was to address Arnold-Chiari malformation, an apparent brain abnormality. He didnít have many more details to offer.

ďTo tell you the truth, I really donít know,Ē he said. ďAfter listening to all the doctors talk yesterday, I really donít know. I really donít know how to explain it anymore.Ē

The surgery was at the base of his skull. He said it wasnít related to a sports injury and was a procedure that he needed to get done eventually. He didn't think it would affect his draft status.

hmmmmmmmm

I like Bruce(no homo) but I would only take him to be our LT If we pick him and move him to RT ala Jason Smith then its just stupid.

I think he is the odds on favorite to be playing in the silver and black next year when you talk about first round prospects. OT is probably our biggest need, both LT and RT one way or another. Al will love his size speed combo, and he is actually a top ten talent so we wont be reaching on a huge project.

I am a big fan of Campbell as well. He has huge upside imo, he is really good in pass protection, and he might not be the best run blocker but he does a nice job of getting to the second level. He can be a mauler at times which is a big plus.

The durability concerns are there a little bit, but nothing major. I dont want hold a non football related surgery against him, and it doesnt sound life threatening or career threatening so it should be alright. I really like the idea of getting a OT and to get OT with the potential that Bruce Campbell has is a great start to fixing are OL problems. He fills a need, he is an elite prospect, and he is best at pass blocking, he just looks so fluid to me, he doesnt get rarely gets beat by speed rushers and that is a big plus, plus his size alone is a huge advantage against big defensive lineman (which we have a lot of in our division). He is the right pick imo because we need to get guys to block for the other guys we have drafted and paid big money too. Its the smart pick, and its the right pick. If this guy hits his potential we have a top 10 OT in the NFL, thats a strong start to making sure your weapons start to produce ex Russell (probably not either way lol) Dmac, Bush, and DHB.

He has my vote.

thats what I debate. But Mario isnt a god if Bruce cant beat him out of the LT spot he can have it.

I hear you about Jason but Bruce is taller, weighs more, is stronger, vrs better comp, longer arms and bigger hands.

Jason=Bulaga or whateva his name is from iowa

We need protection and if Bruce is the best protector im all for it.

Yeah man, I was watching tape on him earlier and I though man that guy is ripped, but he doesnt lack bulk while being completely shredded. This kid is growing on me more and more, we might be able to get a guy that can come in and help us at our biggest need, and Al gets to have his fix and draft a gifted athlete, its kind of a win win in my book.

Shocked

honestly his bench #'s impressed me esp benching with long arms is extra hard to do.

With the need at LT that many of the teams have drafting before us, and how high a premium there is at the LT position, I don't doubt for a second that Bruce Campbell could be gone before we pick. This kid was already considered by many as a top 15 lock, but now I think he just solidified himself as a top 10 pick, however unjustified it may be. His potential is through the roof, and when teams take that into consideration, the top 5 isn't out of the realm of possibility IMO.

Tyson Jackson and Jason Smith were both selected in the top 3, when it didn't seem very likely to many at the end of the season.

One thing about Bruce Campbell is that I don't think he is maxed out like Okung I think he can easily add 6-7 more pounds and be in that 320 range and you know it will be all muscle.

his strength and conditionish coach said he is a o-line version of Vernon Davis and will stay cut up. I like that. no weight problems.
