|
|
|
Last year we had a thread like this going. You can read it here:
2009 Player Interest Thread
(please don't post in it and bump it up, but it is an interesting read, caught a good # of our guys in it (Raji, Matthews, Lang, Meredith, Obi, Jamarko), I got lazy toward the end so a lot of guys in the 2nd half of the thread never made it to the front page)
Last year I started it a little late. I figured I'd get a jump on it this year. This is probably a little early, but I'm sure that we'll catch a few at the Senior Bowl. Unlike last year though, big wig pro day visits (TT, MM, Dorsey) I'll only list the school, unless we are known to have a private interview with a player or show an unusual amount of interest in somebody.
Try to include links when you find stuff, if possible.
Items to note:
Private workouts (Lang, Obi last year)
Private interviews at the Senior Bowl, Combine, or Pro Day (Raji last year)
Big wig pro day visits (Meredith, Jamarko last year)
Guys we seem to pay a lot of attention to at the all-star games, combine, or pro days (Matthews last year)
(S=Senior Bowl, C=Combine, P=Pro Day, W= Private Workout, I=Known Interview, A=Other All-Star Game)
Offense
Offensive Line
Mike Iupati (SI)
Defense
Defensive Line
Jeff Owens (SI) _________________

•They were very, very high on Idaho G Mike Iupati (6-5, 325), maybe even a good possibility when they pick at No. 23. But he won't. If people overlooked Iupati before this week, they haven't now. He was so dominating at guard the first day they tried him at left tackle today. He struggled at bit there, but he's a darn good player and is screaming up draft boards. 35-inch arms don't hurt. |

Iupati is REALLY intruiging, an interior combo of Iupati, Spitz, and Sitton could be the best in the NFL. _________________

That Vikings homer draft guy that I can't stand said that he thought that he had tackle feet yesterday in the recap show on NFLN.
Then again, Clay dropping his hands is going to be a problem, and he will struggle at the pro level because of it. _________________

Yeah he definately doesn't hide his bias, that's for sure. I mean the guy calls the Vikings Preseason games for Christ's sake. _________________

I think they only said that because they needed something to talk about. You can't only compliment all the picks, it sounds boring. _________________
