Too many players on this team that show up some games and disappear in others for us to be consistent at this time. Hopefully we can get that worked out, but it seems no matter how good we do wins or w/e not everyone is contributing. Its not a team effort most times, one or two players are doing really good, the rest are average. We have a lot more talent than the average NFL team but our players haven't put it all together yet. The Bengals don't have that much talent, or really a good coaching staff.. However they all play with each other, and their coaches make up for their shortcomings with emotion.
Arians calls a good game, then goes on a 3 game stint where he makes our offense anemic. If the no huddle is working Ben will run it for a quarter and never again for the rest of the game. Santonio Holmes has 4 straight catches from our own 20 but when we get in the redzone he disappears or drops a pass.. Sweed drops passes, Wallace doesn't show up. Ward isn't showing up lately..
Gotta put it together to repeat, we can do it but thus far we haven't even came close to putting everyone together and playing as a team.
Can't get good defensive chemistry when your best defensive player is always injured.. Just like you can't have a good OL performance if they are communicating with each other. Ben looked BAD as I've seen him look since coming here today. He was frustrated so he stopped communicating with the OL and such. He wasn't a professional today. He was throwing right into DE/DT arms, balls were tipped when people were open. You can blame the WR for not constantly being open, but when they were Ben was either getting sacked/hurried or threw it and it got slapped up or batted down.
He can never go a game without a silly INT either.. He needs to get over that for real. Its time to step up and be elite, not constantly take three steps forward to have a brain fart and be considered average again.
All in all I just honestly think the Bengals got pretty lucky today myself, total credit to them for winning but had this game been played again tomorrow I don't think it would have ended up that way. _________________

That game sucked. The Bengals are pretty good though. I still don't think they are all that talented, but they play real tough and are resilient as hell.
The season ain't over yet. |

We can still take the division. But what annoyed me was the last drive of the game. Why were we trying to get the big play every time?! Just get the 1st down and go from there!
And Redzone offense = _________________

At least last year's offense would have orchestrated an efficient drive with 2 minutes left. This was just pathetic, why Ben wouldn't throw some quick-outs to the sidelines and drive down the field like he has done countless times in his game-winning drives I will never know. So frustrating. |

We used Holmes, but why no quick slants to him over the middle...
unless those were the passes knocked down by Johnson....who played BIG in this game.. |

Seemed to me Ben was so frustrated on that last drive he just tossed the ball three times and thanked God it was over.
Never seen Ben that frustrated before.. Ward was doing nothing yesterday and Wallace did all he was capable of doing.. Miller disappeared somehow as well..
We should have just ran the ball, A LOT.. To wear those guys down and win it in the 4th. Coaching was every bit to blame as the bad execution.
17 snaps in the redzone with no TD falls on the QB, and the coaches.
Tomlin is my dude, but he needs to put his foot down with this offensive play calling that is going on. _________________

Agreed. I've also never seen Roethlisberger looking so fed up. Up honestly, there needed to be some no huddle offense in this game just to get some rhythm and get the Bengals Defense on their heels. _________________
