The Kansas City Chiefs claimed WR Chris Chambers on waivers. So he's staying in the AFC West.

Chambers, a Pro-Bowl receiver in 2005, was recently released by the Chargers after failing to fully recover from an injury that made him lose a lot of his speed.

The Chiefs have claimed Chambers off of waivers and hope he can help their struggling offense.

Great news, now the Chargers are off the hook for $2.4 mill.

I'm not looking forward to facing Chris later this year, he seems like he's holding a grudge

Good signing by the Chiefs for two reasons:

1) Chambers knows the Chargers offense and playbook. A lot of times division rivals will claim released players on rivals for insight.

2) Chambers joins a Chiefs offense who only has one good WR, Bowe. While Chambers isn't what he used to be, he should help defenses not narrow in on Bowe.

Dwayne Bowe
Chris Chambers
Bobby Wade

Pretty solid trio. Not great, but solid. Bowe is a good #1, Chambers has the potential to be an excellent number 2, and Wade is a pretty reliable slot WR.

that imo is a stretch. in recent days all i can say about Chambers is, "what you see is what you get!" outside of that, his best days are behind him .

Does your waiver priority go down with the more claims you make? Kansas City has absolutely abused the waiver wire this year, which is fair enough I guess. If I am Clark Hunt I wouldn't be so keen to pay Chambers $2 million +, but its his money I guess.

Add Lance Long to that list. He is an up and comer that I see loads of potential in. His first game, which he was only activated 2 days prior to, he was targed even if not more than Bowe.

Chambers is downright awful. I have major love for Chris Chambers, but I'm telling you he is D-O-N-E. He has had 31 targets this year and a mere 9 catches. He also has had something like 7 drops. He just doesn't have an NFL skill set anymore.

What has Bowe and Bobby Wade done this season? If I remember correctly, Wade had one good game with the Chiefs. and Bower hasnt been great. I dont think this is anymore of a threat for opponents. The only thing I see happening is a Depth chart change among WR's in KC.
