Not sure how much can be put into this, but I saw this on twitter

Quote:
John McClain reports that TE Daniels will undergo MRI on Monday but it appears he may be done for season with torn right knee ligament.

He was injured during the first half but never really went into the locker room or anything. He just sat on the bench for the rest of the game so I didn't think it was severe at all.

True but he adds an entirely other dimension to our offense when he's on the field. It was nice to see the rookie TE James Casey making some plays though.

ESPN says he's done for the season.

This is awful, I really hope Dreeson and Casey can step up. This probably means that we'll see Anthony Hill activated.

There go the Texans post-season chances.

Ehh maybe. Owen was great, probably the best TE in the NFL this year, but James Casey has shown that he can get open and be a nice little drop off guy for Schaub, albeit a lesser Owen Daniels. This does make Rick Smith look like a genius for drafting two TEs in the '09 draft though.

That sucks a lot. I hate the Texans, but as a Badgers fan, no matter how hard I try, I have to love OD. Owen just knows how to play ball, and this hurts a lot for Houston. Even though Casey is talented, you can't expect him to come in and make the plays that OD does.

That stinks. He is one of the more underrated players in the NFL and gives the Texans offense an extra dimension in the passing game. Casey is talented, but is still a rookie. There may not be a big dropoff, but it obviously won't be the same IMO.

Same, lol. Sad

I'm stuck with Greg Olsen now though.

LOL. No.

Maybe you could say that if we lost Andre Johnson.
Definitely if we lost Matt Schaub.

But not Owen Daniels. Andre Johnson, Kevin Walter (who up until this season functioned as a TE for us for the most part), Jacoby Jones, David Anderson, James Casey, Joel Dreessen, Ryan Moats, Steve Slaton... we'll be fine.
