Joe Haden has emerged as the true #1 corner in this class. He could go top ten, and no one would think twice. A complete corner, and a great athlete. What's so scary is he was a QB when he came to Florida not a corner. Yet he started as a True Frosh for the Gators at corner.
He's going to be very special at the next level. |

| Joe Haden is the best, but he's not on Malcolm Jenkins' level in '09. He's a legitimate top-15 pick though. |

^ I agree with both posts ahead of mine. To add on, I think he will only be top ten because the need for corner is pretty big this year, and Haden s the top corner, but he isn't on the level of some top corners in the past, as mentioned.
I haven't seen Trevard Lindley play, yet, so Haden is my top corner, at this point. _________________

Syd'Quan Thompson | Thank you!
Sydquan is a good player at Cal, and with a great combine could hop into the 1st Round. |

Haden reminds me a little of a former Gator in Lito Shepperd.
He may not be as good as Jenkins was in college but I think he'll be a better CB prospect in the draft than Jenkins was. Nobody will question whether Haden has the ability to stay at corner or will he have to be moved to safety. |

The whole Jenkins at safety talk was ludicrous. He was THE prototypical CB prospect - size, fluidity, closing speed, ball skills, experience, and open field tackling ability. |

I agree. His 40 time is what got him in trouble, didn't he run a 4.65 or something like that? Stupid. Every time I saw him he was capable of running with anyone. Another example of teams and scouts taking combine numbers to heart rather than just looking at game speed and how he played against top notch talent. Loved him at Ohio State.
Haden will likely run a very good 40 time and his draft stock will be higher than Jenkins though. Given the choice I would take Jenkins. |

He ran a 4.55. But what many people don't realize is that he ran the fastest 3-cone (6.58 ) and the fastest 20-yard shuttle (4.07) of all the players that attended the combine. He has elite closing speed. |

Before the season started, there were three corners that were touted as potential franchise corners.
Patrick Robinson, Florida State
Kyle Wilson, Boise State
Joe Haden, Florida
All three could still be first round picks but I think there are guys that will go in later rounds that will end up being more impactful at the next level than both Robinson and Wilson. 4 of them are in the Pac-10.
Alterraun Verner, UCLA
Chris Chancellor, Clemson
Omar Bolden, Arizona State
Walter Thurmond III, Oregon
Syd'Quan Thompson, California
Stephan Virgil, Virginia Tech _________________

Joe Haden >>>>>> (insert name of your choice)
He was AWFULLY impressive against Arkansas. I always knew he was good, but kind of felt like he got undeserved hype bc he played at Florida. But he's the real deal. He plays alot like Pac-Man. Say what you want about Pacman as a person, but the guy was incredible at WVU.But both are on the short side, but are extremely physical and possess big time speed. If my team is in need of a corner and are picking in the top 5, I'd pick Haden every time w/o hesitation. |

Top 5? I don't think so... Top 10-15 is more like it.
And Pacman Jones is a terrible cover corner in the league... He's serviceable in PR and KR, and that's about it. Maybe in Dime packages on third down passing situations... Other than that, he has been a total bust. _________________
