I disagree. Futurama is one of the funniest cartoons I have ever seen, and Simpsons has really tailed off the last few years. |
full body of work vs. full body of work. its not even close. _________________

1. South Park
Created By: Trey Parker, Matt Stone
Cast: Trey Parker, Matt Stone, Isaac Hayes,
Not your typical style of animation, but an animated show none the less. This is one of the most consistently funny shows on TV. It definitely has some misses, but there are so many great episodes. It remains extremely culturally relevant and unlike some of the adult animated comedies very balanced in how it creates it topics, it rips on everything and anything. It is the funniest show out there. _________________

I didn't consider Family Guy to be a good show at all. There is maybe a joke or two per episode that is good, but as a whole, they aren't all that great. They also don't have much of any rewatchability. _________________

I think I'm doing animated films next, but I'll start putting together my guilty pleasure film list. _________________

Futurama at 2 is a good call. In my eyes, its at the top and it really isn't even that close (coming from a guy who might honestly be able to put together a top 50 of animated shows, its my favorite genre).
Good list, though I would've repped Adult Swim a little harder. There are several AS shows (Harvey Birdman, Venture Brothers to name two) that would've cracked my nines.
But its your list. Loving the thread so far. _________________

Animated TV shows:
9. Kung Fu Panda
One of Jack Black's best works. A fun animated movie. A lot of good voice talent in the film and all of them do well as their characters. Kung Fu movies are a good thing, and this animated one was pretty solid.
8. South Park: Bigger, Longer, & Uncut
For a TV show that is made into a movie, it is pretty well done. The Devil and actually a line from Kenny in this film. I guess I should say, actually a line that is legible.
7. Monsters Inc.
An early Pixar film and one of the better ones. Sully and Mike both have great voice actors. A fun story and while it is fairly predictable, it is well done as well.
6. TMNT
This film is one that has already made it onto a list before. It doesn't have Shredder, but it has a solid bad guy and a CGI April O'Neil . The turtles need to make it onto on the list one time, but they don't have much in terms of animated films, but the one they have is good. _________________

For my personal list of favorites, Kung Fu Panda and Monsters, INC. would be in my top 3. I love those 2 movies. The best Dreamworks and Pixar films, respectively. _________________

5. Toy Story
One of the early Pixar works and a very good film, actually spawned a good sequel in Toy Story 2 and I'm looking forward to the third one coming out later this year. The characters are great and the story well put together and a lot of fun how they are.
4. The Incredibles
One of my favorite Pixar films. It is a lot of fun for a kids super hero film. It has jokes in it for adults in it without being poor for kids. Great characters and a pretty simple story but very well constructed.
3. Coraline
A new film that just came out this past year. It is done in the style of [i]The Nightmare Before Christmas[/b] and done really well. It is based off of a book by Niel Gaiman, and a good book at that. It misses a couple of the good jokes from the book, but sticks to the story and sticks to it well.
2. Tim Burton's Corpse Bride
I love this film, it doesn't quite make it to number one on the list, but it is extremely good. With Tim Burton you know it will be visually entertaining and he always has good atlent, even if in thise case it is just voice talent. The juxtaposition of colors in between the living and the dead. _________________

1. Wall-E
Director: Andrew Stanton
Cast: Ben Burtt, Elissa Knight, Fred Willard, Jeff Garlin
A great story, it has its environmental preaching at points, but it has a very simple love story that works really well. Another unique thing about this film is that there is so little talking. Even without the dialog the love story is very clear and understandable. The characters are cute, and it is a lot of fun, one that is definitely worth seeing. _________________

Guilty Pleasure Films:
9. Soldier
Kurt Russell is the man. It is a very stupid action film, but when Kurt Russell goes crazy and starts killing everyone off, it is just great. Not a ton of a plot, but a lot of action.
8. Evolution
Everyone loves a good alien action flick, and this one delivers a very serious film. Duchovny is great in this film, an odd ball roll fits him perfectly, and it kind of pokes fun at the "X-Files" days for him. Not a good film by any means, but very pointless, and quite funny.
7. Poseiden
A guilty pleasure film for sure. It is a very stupid action/adventure sort of film, but it has one of my favorite ladies in the film with Emmy Rossum. It has a lot of fun action in it and while it is completely absurd and some of the characters are pretty annoying, I do enjoy it.
6. Sydney White
Basically what you would expect. A cute little film parodying Snow White, but it makes the cliches that you would expect to see a lot funnier then you would expect them to be. Overall, not a bad little film. _________________
