The Colts lost WR Anthony Gonzalez for a number of weeks on Sunday and said they are looking to sign a veteran receiver to replace him, the Eagles released the best option on the market a couple of days ago and the 6-4 Hank Baskett will join them.

***Update***
Its a 1-year deal.

***Update***
Anthony Gonzalez could miss up to 8 weeks.

Has PM ever had anyone this big to throw to? Out side of Roy Hall and we know where he is... this could be great for the red zone. I know Baskett has dropped a few ie. the direct tv ad. lol but over alll I think is a great pick up.

We've hardly ever thrown the fade in the end zone, but, I think 2 of Hank's TD's were on fades. I know Peyton does that with the best, so we'll see how their chemistry is on that.

He as great practice hands, and makes those crazy catches during the week, but could never, 100% put it all the way together on sundays. I wish him and you guys the best.

I'll be interested to see if he sees the field at all on Monday. If he can put it together, he could be one heck of a pick-up. The one year deal should let him know that he has to earn his spot if he hopes to keep it.

From what I've read, he's a great special teams guy and run-blocking WR, so I could see him getting some limited time on Monday, just nothing significant in terms of receiving since he hasn't had time to study the playbook.

Very good pickup for you guys. You're right on about his special teams & run blocking skills, Hank was great at that here in Philly. I wish the Eagles would've kept him & cut Reggie Brown. Hank was only used in the fade 2 times. Caught a TD once. I'm not sure of the Colts depth chart, but Baskett is definitely a guy that can step right in & help an offense.

1. Peyton can throw the fade route
2. Hank can run the fade
3.

ENOUGH SAID.

Yeeaaaah....she's all kinds of pregnant at the moment guys. On top of that, she is still a huge Charger fan... Now, if he sticks around, that will definitely be a benefit.
