As you said Oaktown hopefully this gets done today. If that is all this is about we all know Al is good at that.
It needs to happen today so he can get ready for the chargers. I am ready for the biggest upset of the season to happen on Monday night. |

It says new three year deal. For a player that is turning 30 during this season with his resume, this is great. I hope it gets done ASAP so that when he gets here today for his physical we can get all this administrative stuff done now. Then we can focus on football stuff and let the mediots eat crow crap.

Especially considering we're going into an uncapped year. If one of the bigger market teams wants Howard, there's no way we can keep him. Morrison might stick around just because of the Oakland roots. But Howard is a threat to leave now.

If we want to keep them we'll keep them. We're magicians with the cap and we don't let players go that we like.

I was kind thinking about that also. We saved about 16 Million just with garcia, harris, wade, sands and burgess. There is also a few other Million dollar salaries that we cut out. Next year we possibly remove Huff, hope he works out though. We will also know who are #2 QB is by then and we can release one as I am sure one or the other is getting paid more than they should for a 3rd string. Warren may be out next year if Bryant bulks up enough.
But it may work out to our advantage especially this year. Reason being that Morrison already has competition at a cheaper price. They are trying to develop some young LB prospects on the PS that can replace Howard if needed. So with this big signing and money being tight. It would be wise for Howard and Morrison to make sure they have a good year here. Whether they end up staying or not they need to perform well. |

Let's be honest though, neither of these guys are a Richard Seymour.
They are great for being 5th and 3rd round picks, but they don't have the impact a DE would on this team. I love them both and they are both very young, but Seymour is more important.
