For some reason I think you guys are going to go for the more "dynamic" type QBs.
Whether it will work or not? I dont know. But its just my guess.
So who would you rather have?
Vince Young. A 2 time Pro Bowl player (yea I know that doesnt mean much) who probably just needs a change of scenery and be humbled for him to really live up to his potential. Has shown he can be clutch and has proven he can win games.
Or
Cam Newton. A guy who has a load of potential. Heisman winner (yea I know that doesnt mean much). Big physical, has the type of playmaking ability that can put the Dolphins back on the map. IF he lives up to his potential
So if you HAD to choose between these two choices. Which would you choose? |

I don't see why we would have to choose, and I had a whole thread saying why we should BOTH get VY and draft Cam Newton!

Uh... depends. VY or Cam Newton in the 1st? 2nd? Maybe even 3rd?
I'd take VY over Cam in the 1st. Cam wins after that.

Haha.
Yea have them split the game reps. And run the spread option. That way both remain fresh and dont have as many hits.  |

Not necessarily what I was thinking, but it works. I was actually thinking VY could give Newton a year or two to develop under a similar offense to what Newton would eventually be running. We could even let Newton take a series ro two the way Denver did with Tebow to ease him in.

If I had to choose I would take Newton. He clearly can handle the pressure. Dude has ice in his veins. VY on the other hand.. kind of goes crazy when hes getting booed

I would keep Henne over bringing in Cam newton. Atleast Henne throws the ball.

For some reason, I think you're wrong. Young is a brainless idiot and Newton is a highly questionable prospect. Gabbert, Locker and Mallett are much more appealing.

VY is a proven winner. If we had both they could do damage. I am not sure about Cam Newton though. I wouldn't touch him in the 1st round.

Meet the Wildphin.
Newton in the shotgun, Young split out wide. Fasano, Hartline and Marshall on the field. Polite in the backfield as a lead blocker.
Young runs the sweep and Newton makes the read. A multitude of options.
