Well I am about to make a pledge that I hope every Viking fan on this forum will agree with. I pledge that since our beloved Vikings desperately need the help of (gulp) the Green Bay Packers to have any chance of overtaking Chicago and winning possible tiebreakers, we sign the following pledge for December 2005.

****That we will love everything about Wisconsin and hug any Cheesehead or Wisconsin Badger fan we see at the Mall of America
****That there will be no derogatory jokes in any sports bars about about Jeffrey Dahmer, Ed Gein or any other known or future Wisconsin serial killers even after 7 drinks
****That we say nice things about Brett Favre and his family
****That we happily watch That 70's Show.

Hey guys it's only a month make the pledge!!!!

For the sake of my Father-in-Law, a loyal Vike fan living in northern Wisconsin, I'd be pleased as punch to get on board with that... Sign Me Up!

****I'll go on a Schlitz, Old Milwaukee and Leinie's diet... oh wait. Let me rephrase that--I'll CONTINUE my Schlitz, Old Milwaukee and Leinie's diet and invite all of you to join me.

Do you guys really hate us so much that you are willing to allign with the Cheeseheads? I didn't think I would live long enough to see this day.

Purple cheese... hmmm... now there's a thought. Laughing

Grrlacher, I've done it once before on Christmas Eve 2000 when we needed Green Bay to beat the Bucs at home (And The Pack Did It!!!) in order for us to win the division and a first round bye.

Yeah I remember back in 2000 when we actually needed the Packers to win to help us. Hopefully Green Bay can win twice against Chicago that would be HUGE

I don't see us losing twice to the Pack... but Mr. Favre loves to find ways to beat us, so it wouldn't surprise me if they took one from us. I don't think they will considering how bad they are playing... but I wouldn't say it's out of the question

Desparate times call for desparate measures...
I have no hatred for Chicago, I just want the purple to have a shot at the playoffs and a homefield game (that would naturally come with winning the division) would be much better than a road game/wildcard slot. Besides, if the situation was reversed, I'd be more than happy to wear my Steve Bartman outfit with a "Rozelle" headband, eat deep dish pizza, watch that God-awful Chicago musical along with re-runs of Married with Children and Perfect Strangers if Chicago could knock the Pack out of the division lead! I'd even sing the super bowl shuffle for you!!!

(all from memory!)
We are the Bears
the shufflin crew
Shuffling on down
we're doing it for you
we're so bad
we know we're good
blowing your minds
like we knew we would
You know we're just
struttin' for fun
Struttin' our stuff
for everyone
We're not here
to start no trouble
We're just here
to do the super bowl shuffle

Well they call me sweetness and I like to dance
running the ball is like making romance
we had to go since training camp
to give Chicago a super bowl champ
Now we're not doing this because we're greedy
the Bears are doing it to feed the needy
We didn't come here looking for trouble
we just come here to do the super bowl shuffle...

If the Bears can start losin, I'll sing a few more lines for ya

no I'm not up for the task at hand - cheering for my enemy is unconstitutional - I would rather tell the packers how bad they suck and that there is no way in hell that they can beat the bears - never know it might fire em up ... as good of a run as the bears are on (with the killer defense) their offense is what will come back to haunt them . right now in all honesty you are scoring off what your defense gives you , nothing wrong with that - hell I'd take it if it were the vikes but teams will not take you lightly and they will figure out a way to exploit you - joey galloway found something that other teams will work on , so as long as offenses don't shoot themselves there's a chance you guys drop 2 of the next five games leaving it to a last game of the season between the vikes and the bears for the division and we will win that game because Brad if anything manages the ball 90 % of the time - and by then our OL should be a little better -

the enemy of my enemy is still my enemy - and my enemy shall taste my steel

I'm the vanilla QB known as KO
When I get the ball
My punter knows
In about 2 plays I'll be called upon
to give our tired defense
a chance to show
That they're the best offense the Bears have got
And when I'm playing QB,
just pull out your cot
I'm not here to start no trouble
I just handoff on the double
