Chester Taylor and Musa Smith will not play today against the
Bengals, don't have a link but i just saw it on NFL Live. that means it will be Jamal Lewis all by himself in the backfield against a soft Cincy run D. if he can't produce today, will he get another chance when Chester comes back? i think he will, but its still worth debating.

Well he had 113 yards off 23 carries... I am shocked he broke 100 yards and I am shocked he managed to get a 21 yard run... It was against a Bengals team who are weak against the run but it's a start.... Probably too late though.

Jamal has to play through so much pain every week, I hope we resign him because next year he will be at full strength

I think what lewis needs to do, what he did somewhat today, is stop tryiong to make big runs and let them happen. Hes Dancing a little too much and the line just isnt what it used to be. When theres no room to maneuver behind the line he needs to get going north-south faster and try to break it that way.

Well, the stat line says he played good today. But as a Bengals fan who watched the game, i have to say i was not impressed.

Through the first half adn part of the 3rd quarter, he was averaging less than 3 yards per carry...just terrible. Then when the Bengals stopped their run blitzes and just kept everything in front of them, he ran wild.

He accumulated most of his yards while the bengals were trying to stop the big play (unsucessfully).

So i'm still not convinced that Chester is not your better option...

TheJ is correct. Yea its great that he went over 100 yards and this might have been his best game of the season, but Jamal really just had a couple long runs late in the game when the Bengals were just sitting back in the prevent defense. It will be interesting to see how the carries breakdown next week with Chester healthy again.
