This is what I have my eye on.

But I was at Cabellas and was looking at the new Ruger American and its a nifty firearm as well.

But I am kinda partial to hammer fire pistols like the cz.

I'm not a gun guy. I'm looking to buy a .22 mostly for target practice, but also something that looks good for display. I came across the Henry Golden Boy 22 LR, which I think absolutely looks like a million bucks. The thing is that I've never shot a lever action rifle before. Anyone have any experience or thoughts on this rifle?

https://www.henryrifles.com/rifles/golden-boy/

It goes for around $500.

Well I haven't shot this gun. But I've shot a 30-30 lever action Marlin. And although its taken down some fair shair deer. I wanted a bolt action with a box magazine to make loading faster. But you can't go wrong with Henry... they are beautiful guns.

Been hearing a lot of good things about the Baretta PX4 Storm. Cant complain about a quality, reliable sub compact with a 16 round cap in 9mm. Plus it kinda reminds me of the Blade Runner.

Anyone here ever shoot one?

Anyone ever go through the process of building their own ar15? I'm starting that process now and am looking into lower receivers.

Outside of mil-spec, what should I be looking for in a lower? They range from $50-$450, so what really sets them apart that makes one $50 and another $450.

Any insight is appreciated!

Love Cali, but hate our gun laws. My tube feed .22 Marlin is now one of the craziest guns you can own here. They basically want everyone to have a revolver. I think I'll try to learn how to shoot a bow and arrow eventually. since I can't buy the guns I would actually want, like a Springfield Operator.

Best 9mm for the money? About to buy one for range purposes and home security (not for concealing) and don't want to spend $600 for a Glock 17. What's the best gun when considering recoil, accuracy, reliability, etc. for the money?

Go to a gun show if you want to find something cheap. Otherwise go with a S&W if you want something more affordable below $400

Bought my first rifle ever. Henry GoldenBoy .22 lr.

I bought it because it looks fantastic and fun to shoot. I love it. Something so satisfying about lever action.

I thought about it, but just went ahead and bough a 4th gen Glock 17. The dual recoil spring in the 4th gen is amazing.

Congrats man. I remember when I bought my pistol I was all about getting a Glock. But when I went to the gun shop and started handling them all the Glocks just felt all wrong to me. The pistol grip was just too angled on all the models. Ended up with a Sig Sauer.

I am just getting into the world of guns and learning about our state laws, but why can't you own the Springfield Operator? That's a pistol right(from what I saw on Google).

I thought Cali is mostly anal about Assault Riffles ?

I love the grip. Fits my hand perfectly.

Yea that seems to be the deal with Glocks. People either love or hate the grips.

Folks gave me money for Christmas so I ended up getting the Glock 43 and I absolutely love it. Cool

I was looking at a Sig but went with the Glock instead.

I have a group of friends that are really into old school rifles like swedish meowsers and m1 grands and such.

They all just sit on the couch and look down the barrels and fidget with them for hours on end lol. Is this common?
